Mock and FA Signings

I say we sign Matt Lehr G(Atlanta Falcons) tomorrow after noon. I think he is a huge upgrade over Jeno James . He could come at a great price as compared to what Dielman, Steinbach, and Dockery went for. Lehr is every bit as good, if not better than Dockery.

1st: Laron Landry S LSU
- Him and Jason Allen would give them a versatile group of safeties. I think Allen will pan out to be a steal for us and I think Landry will be one of the elite safeties in the entire league.

2(A): Joe STaley T Central Michigan

2(B): Zach Miller TE Arizona State

3rd: Marcus Thomas DT Florida

4th: Jon Wade CB Tennessee

6(A): Dan MOzes C West Virginia

6(B): Jordan Palmer QB UTEP

7(A): David Holloway LB Maryland

7(B): Chris Henry RB Arizona

Love the picks but like Stitches said, its unlikely that they drop that far.

Thomas, as talented as he is, I dont think he fits our system at all. He cant play NT and he isnt likely to play as a 3-4 end. With him not being such a good fit, I find it unnecessary to take on his baggage. Henry will be gone late day 1 or early day 2 after running a blistering 40 at the combine. Staley, I think, will slip into the 1st round when all is said and done after showing his athleticism.

marcus thomas is a 1st round talent...but his issues are making him fall to the 4th or 5th round. he would be an absolute steal in the 4th round...no way would i pass on him

Theres a big difference between falling a couple picks and falling a couple rounds.

Chris Henry had one of the best combines for a RB, he's skyrocketing up the boards. Very likely he'll be a Day 1 pick.

Other than that and the fact that Jordan Palmer flat out sucks, I like the mock. :D

Yes, people do fall. However, in your case, you have guys falling who have helped their status with workouts and more intensive research. Leinart and Aaron Rodgers were faced with poor combines and questionable attributes. Guys like Staley and Henry are not in that situation.

Disagee with the 1st round, don't need a safety that bad. I would like to see Quinn, Branch, Hall, Levin, or trade down.

Also, Where are the WRs? We need to draft our own speed WR.

Correction---Marcus "Trap" Thomas can play both DT/NT in the 3-4/4-3 that is the same position he played at Florida.

Marcus Thomas is a speed DT. At just over 300 pounds, he wouldnt hold up to the rigors of NT. In a 4-3, Trap would be a stud but I could justify the risk since he wont be able to give an ample reward playing in our system.

Is not the worst I've seen but I don't really like it and I don't think it'll go anything like that either.....I don't see us taking Laundry....the only position I see us taking at 9 would be QB,WR,DT or o-line....or else we'll try to move down.....I believe that we'll take a guard or a center before we take an OT.....I hope we don't take Palmer....you have no WR at all and that's also very unlikely.
