Yes another one. I updated my mock draft due to the footage I have been looking at for John Beck. The guy looks pretty darn good with a above average arm. Height might be an issue but the kid can use his legs when needed. All criticism accepted. But I will argue my choices.

IF Brady Quinn falls to us trade #9 pick & #219 with Philadelphia for their #26, #57, #162 & next years 2nd. D.Mcnabb is 31years old and has had injury issues the last 2 years.

1#26 OT-Joe Staley 2#40 QB-John Beck 2#57
SS-Eric Weddle 2#60 RB-Michael Bush 3#71 C-Samson Satelle 4#108 CB-Traverous Bain 5#162 WR/KR/PR/ST-Yamon Figurs 6#181 LB-Dallas Sartz 6#199 DE-Jacob Ford 7#225 DT-Matt Toessa 7#238 OT/OG Dane Uperesa

IDK about that one, it's a stretch. So many things have to align for that to even be a thought. The Eagles would have to be enamoured with Quinn to want to move up 17 spots in the draft, and they wuld also have to feel the need at QB is so great, and Quinn is LIGHTYEARS above the rest, in order to trade that much to move up and take him when McNabb still has plenty of years left. If they are concerned they are better off adding a veteren guy in case he goes down again and either drafting a QB in the later rounds or getting one in 2008 or later (or both) because I don't see McNabb retiring anytime soon, even though he has had some durability issues the past 2 years.

great reply.

I don't see it happening either, you hardly ever see teams move up that far in the first round simply because it costs way too much. On top of that, the Eagles run a west coast offense, which is a system where you don't really need an elite QB running the offense. Obviously it would help to have a great QB, but you can definitely get away with having less than ideal arm strength in a WC scheme.

Dunce

You're a perfect example of a "johnny come lately" draft pundit. You watch a few highlights of a player and whoa! he's the next sure hit.

What, if they do special on Kolb will you change your mind? That's why Meuller is GM and you're not!

staley might even wind up with the 20th pick to the giants, so itll all be a waste

I like this mock. Staley makes sense in a trade down, and I would be thrilled if Beck lasted until #40. I looked at the Beck highlight film like you did and I had the same reaction, really impressed. He's my guy now. The Bush pick- interesting. I might be tempted to dip into the OL again with Doug Free or Andy Alleman, or maybe it would be even better to take a quality WR that slipped a little, maybe like a Steve Smith or Craig Davis. Solid mock, thx.

I am afraid that mock just can not happen. I do not see a situation where philly would almost give up half their draft class for quinn and that is essentially what they would have to do to move up 17 spots. That just isnt done in todays NFL unless your a crazy former TE who took too many blows to the head and could only win one super bowl with the greatest defense every assembled. so unless Ditka becomes Phillys coach, we might not be in luck for that. But trust me, I would cheer if that were to happen.
