Round 1
Chris Long- Whether you'd like to believe it or not, Parcells is going defense, just check his draft history. This guy has a terrific motor and great work ethic.

Round 2A
Brian Brohm- This guy has been awfully quiet and I believe for some strange reason he slips. What a steal this would be.

Round 2B
Carl Nicks- Parcells likes his Olinemen big...Nicks is a 6'5, 340 OT

Round 3
Curtis Lofton- Big 12 defensive player of the year. Great ILB prospect.

Round 4
Brad Cottam-Huge TE at 6'7, 270 who opened some eyes in pre-draft workouts. Will be a much better pro than college player

Round 6
Orlando Scandrick-Extremely fast CB from the new football factory, Boise State. Will create one of the fastest CB tandems in the league with him and W. Allen in time.

Round 7
Mike Gibson- Project at Guard who may surprise.

So... with so many safeties now on the roster (we just signed ANOTHER safety- Crocker from Atlanta) I decided to leave that position alone. The only position that I feel I may have missed is the WR position but with the signing of Ernest Wilford, I feel we have signed a great balance at #2 spot to play opposite of speedy Ted Ginn. Then again, if Brohm is gone by our 1st pick in the 2nd round, I'd go with Early Doucet to be our future Wes Welker.

I like it. Dont forget, we likely have a compensatory 6th and 7th, so we can address WR there with a project type.

Not sure Nicks is a tackle at the next level, however.

Draft Indirect Science! Terminology

NICE! But Brad Cottam and Mike Gibson have character issues! Not to mention low FCAT and Wonderlick scores!! Scandrick shows flashes but his top end speed is not more than 20 yards, he's long strider with loose hips that should help him out at the next level! As for motor, in the footbal dictionary it is under Chris Long, his father does commercials for Chevrolet and they are known to have non stop motors! As for Carl Nicks, he plays too tall at 6'7"!

I like it a lot. I do think Lofton will go higher than third round, though. I've seen some projections with him going in the late first. Would be great to get Brohm in the 2nd or even Henke.

Not bad. but dont think brohm will fall to the 2nd round.

I could live with this if you just switch Henne for Brohm in the 2nd.

Dude!! I really would like J. Long, but I've said I like both, but...this is almost exactly how i've thought it could or should happen...WEIRD!!
....from a QB in the 2nd(Henne or Brohm) to Nicks, to Lofton for MLB and I would love to get Cottam.(I agree he'll be a really good pro.)Good freakin' job! Bro!!

I hate the Brohm pick, this guy has pretty good accuracy but below average arm strength, why would you want that? He will not be a good NFL QB unless he is in the right system. If we had to go QB I would much rather have Henne or Flacco there instead, or a guy like Flynn or Ainge later on. The rest looks pretty solid though.

Arm strength is one of the most overated categories for QB prospests. Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Drew Brees all did not have great arm strength coming out of college, but were very accurate. And the last time I checked 1 is in the HOF, 1 will definetly be in the HOF, and the other is making a case for possibly being in the HOF. So armstrong is not the biggest deal as long as you just have enough arm strength.

and who, after this draft will be our other starting gaurd, dont forget we need a starting guard and tackle from this draft. if we are not set on beck we will go matt ryan (no we wont) but we definitley wont take a 2nd round qb.

Isn't Lofton projected to go in the early half of the second round?

I like it. The 2nd pick is a little questionable but we do need a T. I'm not familiar with Nicks at all. I do think Vernon will continue his huge strides at LT and we only need a RT. Carey only gave up 3 sacks last year and everyone seems to want to move him around again. I also like UVA's TE's (Santi and Stupar) better than Cottam. I know he didn't play much because of injuries but bot UVA TE's were at the top in the nation coming out of HS and caught everything throw at them. They will follow in Heath Millers footsteps and be very productive pros IMO. They aren't getting much hype but Santi had a great pro-day and hopefully we can get one or both in the 6th and 7th rounds.

arm strength doesnt really matter, jay fiedler had no arm but he was our winningest qb and if im not mistaken had one of the top 5 win percentages over his time as starter too....just need someone accurate

I like it. There is absolutely no way that Curtis Lofton makes it out of the 2nd round. We would have to take him at 2A if we wanted him.
