Their thinking Quinn could go to Cleveland at #3...

9. Miami Dolphins – Louisville defensive tackle Amobi Okoye. The Dolphins plan to move last year's top pick, Jason Allen, around in the secondary in hopes of finding a spot he can contribute at more than he did as a rookie. They need to find the best front-seven playmaker, so this choice could come down to either Okoye or Adam Carriker with the 19-year old sensation winning out as most evaluators believe he is capable of being productive regardless of style or scheme.

I wouldn't mind that pick, you have to think this guy really isn't even fully developed yet. He's very intelligent, and very athletic. I really dont want to go defense in the 1st round, but this would be a decent pick in my mind.

If both Willis and Okoye are there , I don't see how you can pass on Willis.. This is a sure Pro Bowler for many years to come in this league ..

Okoye, while young , and screaming potential, doesn't have that "sure thing" tag .. Willis would clearly make more of an impact .

Sorry, the defense is leaps and bounds better, more stacked than the offense. I'd gamble we go WR or OL at #9.

i disagree, okoye isn't just screaming potential, hes also already produced at a very high level... even if he wasn't the youngen who can still get better, hed still go this high because of how talented a player he is...

and i love the 2nd round picks they have there too... mccauley and blalock would be nice in the 2nd...

I think Okoye is about as sure a thing as you get, and thats at 19 years old.

I'm with you on that... I can't see why we would use a 1st round pick on someone that doesn't touch the ball.

you dont just take offense to take offense... you dont just draft for this one year coming up... thats dumb, you draft to make your team better and for the future.... and with our old DTs and unproven late round picks behind them, okoye isn't so out of the question...

With the addition of Joey Porter on Defense and Manny Wright coming back from his dilemna, the Phins will not go defense with this pick especially DT. We have too many holes in the offense and Cam has already stated that hes going to revamp the O-line through the draft. I think we'll be picking 2 first day Olineman one of them being in the first round. All these mock drafts picking DT are only picking DT because its the deepest and safest pick in the top 10. I would not be too dissappointed with DT but its not a huge need to be addressing in the 1st round...

It's not the most exciting pick but it would be a smart pick. You have to take the best guy at this point, you can't reach to far to try and fill an immediate need. Especially when there is a guy as good as Okoye sitting there at a position that you still have questions about. I think Revis is another posibility. I know everyone wants offense but unless we can trade down there may not be an offensive player left at #9 worth that pick. As of right now Ginn would be a huge risk IMO but that could change if he works out with team before the draft, depending on how those workouts go of course.

Personally I hope we move down and pick up some more picks because there are guys in the middle to bottom of this draft that I really like. Such as, OT Joe Staley, OT Tony Ugoh, (although some have him going in the 2nd) OLB Jarvis Moss, WR Tedd Ginn Jr., WR Robert Meachem, and CB Chris Houston. I think many of these guys will be starting their rookie season.

I am surprised that they have Alan Branch going as late as 18 though, I don't believe he will fall that far. If he falls out of the top 10 (I am not sure that he will) I think he goes no later than 12 or 13.
I also do not think that Dewayne Jarrett will slip into the second round. If Oakland is able to come away with both Russell and Jarrett they will have come away with a steal in this draft.
Michael Griffin and Paul Posluszny are two more guys I think will be gone in the first and Marcus McCauley could be.

I dont mind the kid if they feel he is BPA. But we have holliday and Roth at the DE spots. So he wont be gettinbg much starting time at first there. When we hybrid over to the 4-3 (around 30% of the time) he reminds me alot of Tim Bowens that first year. So I have no problem taking him.

My personal choice is trade back to around 16-20 and get an extra second round pick. Then take Joe Staley whom is a left tackle prospect that has been rising on most groups. Supposedly the dolphins really like him. Use the extra 2nd for Stanton in the 2nd. Try to get a guard/center (slide rex to guard if we get a good center) and use the other picks for depth and secondary.

I would not draft Tedd Ginn Jr in the 1st round. I think he has bust written all over him and will become the next Hall, just a KR/PR with 300-400 yards recieving a year. I have no interest on him on this team. IF we want a speedster that cant catch just KR/PR take Jason Hill in the 3rd, he is faster and better hands.

If we draft Okoye he won't even start and and Mueller has been crystal clear that he wants are first few picks making a difference right away.

Okoye was our pick if we didn't re-sign Holiday, now we have Vonnie another 4 years.

We aren't drafting him.

These guys at Yahoo are idiots.
