NFL | M. Williams may be back

Wed, 26 Apr 2006 05:57:13 -0700

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports agent Ethan Lock said Tuesday, April 25, free agent RB Moe Williams (Vikings) has not formally retired and may return to the NFL. "It's not clear that he's retiring," Lock said. "That's not accurate at all." Williams will have to find an NFL team willing to sign him.

Anybody think he would be a good candidate to back up Ronnie Brown? For the Vet minimum?

isn't that the whizzinator dude?
No ...

That was another back ... name starts with an "O", but I can't remember it exactly.

That was Onterrio Smith.

This girl that my wife works with dates him. If what she says is true he won't be coming back. Had a pretty bad knee injury last year. Also he's still got to worry about touching that lady's breast on the love boat. It would fit for him to come down here if was to stay playing. He does live here in the offseason.

Note: The whizzinator is Onterrio Smith

Except for the minor conviction for getting a lap dance on the party boat, I don't see anything wrong with Williams. However, I wouldn't bring him in for anything more than a minimum contract contingent on him beating out being on the roster at the start of the season. I just don't see him beating out Sammy Morris, and I think there's some value in getting Kay Jay Harris some reps during the preseason.

I'm a little biased against the guy. I don't ever want to see him in a fins uni.

Last year he was barely healthy enough to make the field. I'd pass.
