Active Roster
Lets have a winning season or even beat a team that
ends the season with a winning record before we get ahead of ourselves
ends the season with a winning record before we get ahead of ourselves
all depends on what kind of success we have at qb this offseason...if its just roll with matt moore get ready for another early postseason contention exit in 2012
I can't see Ross and Philbin settling with this scenario. Whether it be thru the draft or FA, Miami must address the QB situation. Matt could improve, but he still needs competition incase he regresses.

He had nothing to lose last year. He was thrown into the starting role and the team was already shot. Your right, this year he needs someone to "push" him. Hopefully it will be our new franchise Qb
irelands not settlin on matt moore unless he absolutely has to...i hate to tell you matt moore fans that...but just wait and see...he's not sittin on matt moore until he exhaust all his options in free agency and the draft
he shouldn't either...
It's not really about who's a fan of him...more of what's best for this team in the long run, imo. :idk: If one is a fan of Moore it's because he's on the team and want him to improve. Either way, he'll get his chance but it won't come without competition...unless we get that QB who just comes in and plays lights out right away. Whoever is that, may the best guy win, and finally give us some long term stability at the position. Would be nice to have a quality QB that could stay put for at least 5 years!
I am optimistic because we have a pretty good nucleus of talent. We were competitive with the Pats even though we lost both games with 2 different starting QB's and a garbage oline.
If Philbin can find a few missing pieces, get better QB play from whomever, we can get into the playoffs.
As the Giants have proved, the regular season record doesn't mean a thing. It is how the team performs in the playoffs.
We need to finally have stability at QB and with the coaching staff. I think we have a great staff, and pretty good QB in Moore to start off the Philbin chapter in Miami Dolphin History. Time will tell.
Well said.
Everyone underestimates MOORE. All he did was put up 6-6, even w/no preseason, and w/COLUMBO/CAREY, and w/the lingering stench of "PARCELLSBALL", and w/an inferior overall Organization, and w/WRs who became famous for drops. We can debate whether FLYNN will be an upgrade at QB from now until doomsday, and it won't matter. But MOORE is no back-up, FOR SURE. He was rated the 12th best QB in the NFL as a result of what he actually did, and that's not a back-up! And he wasn't given a "handicap" like in Golf because (1) he had CAREY/MOORE guarding (ha!) his right side, or (2) because his OL was almost setting records for sacks allowed, or (3) because his loudmouth "Alpha" WR was alomst leading the League in dropped TD passes. And if PARCELLS was right (even a little bit) when he said "you are what your record says you are", then be careful MIAMI and DOLFANS! INTELLIGENT "football people" aren't blind/deaf/DUMB relics playing yesteryear's football, and they arent bitching "homeys" on an unofficial website, either. They'll look at MOORE's performance, and place blame WHERE IT BELONGS. And i/m/o, what they'll see is a not a 6-6 calibre QB, but a 10-2 calibre QB, who did more than enough to beat DALLAS, DENVER, the World Champion NY GIANTS, and the runner-up N.E. PATRIOTS (in Game II at Foxboro), but who was let down by his teammates. And they'll also say "Oh, how nice: 2012 was MOORE's last year under contract! He's a FREE AGENT now"! And then they'll pay him, and sign him up in that proverbial "New York minute".
As a result, and once again, we, the DOLFANS and the MIAMI DOLPHINS, lose. It's just a matter of how big. But rest assured, all we DOLFANS will have to show for it all is more hot air coming from that ongoing farce known as the MIAMI DOLPHINS, vintage ROSS.
As you all can tell, I have a REALLY bad feeling about all this! I see MANNING being signed and FAILING to recover, for years if not forever. And I see FLYNN as another illusion, and a failure. After all, he won't have GB's "weapons" and OL no mo'....
