Momentum change...can you feel it?

Things are improving perhaps.....but New England didn't get pasted...they barely were defeated. We still have a big hill to climb yet before much should be made of it.

Mentally, they were pasted. Psychologists should do very well in Boston over the next 9 months.

We are very close to something really special happening. The right man has been hired as HC, a great staff has been put together, and the owner is willing to spend. Conversely, the Jets are in upheaval and the Pats got pasted in the SB leaving them trying to answer alot of questions. A few key FA signings and a noteworthy draft will put us in prime position to take the AFC east. Hang on!
Have we not been down this road before?

Really? Your ready to write the Patriots off after they went to their 5th Superbowl in just over a decade? After they nearly won? Have you not watched Belichek continue to acquire draft picks? I believe they hold 2 1st rounders, 2 2nd rounders and a 3rd and a 4th..............How many picks do we hold in the first 4 rounds? Take a step back, take a deep breath...and realize we have a hill to climb yet....and it won't be easy.

Nope ... Cant feel a thing.

Still too early to tell.

Once we put together a decent season I will start to believe...

homerism is correct...I hope the correct Head coach was picked, i hope the correct staff was picked, I hope we will have a good draft, and I hope that we pick up a couple of good FAs...Experience with the Fins has taught me not to hold my breath...

My concern is Ireland, he doesn't come across like Philbin. it's an ego thing I'm feeling.

I love the dolphins and have been a fan all my life and always will be, but the PATS have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds, the bills suck, and we haven't proven anything besides bringing in a new coach which we seem to like to do since Shula, nothing has changed at the moment. I really hope they do, but at the moment, they haven't.

Reality Check.... its the offseason. This is where optimism runs wild no matter what coach you have or what your roster looks like. I sense a change.. thats for sure, hopefully thats a good thing. But we have plenty of offseason yet... trades, cuts, draft, free agency... plenty of time for things to go up or down.... but regardless... it is the season of optimism lol
You contradicted your whole post with just those first two words. You all need a reality check indeed.

the pats evidently also saved $10 mil off the 2011 cap to put towards the 2012 cap...so sounds like they're in the $30 mil cap space range available...in other words they got plenty of money...they'll probably keep ninkovich and green ellis relatively cheap unless someone overpays them on an offer and let the other guys all test the market...brandon lloyd the wr will probably reunite with josh mcdaniels unless he's looking for stupid money which he's not worth anyways...

so i would say right now lloyd green ellis and ninko all return to the pats unless they get stupid with their demands in which case beli will walk away and find other guys to give them the same level of production but likely cheaper

wr, cb, s, pass rusher the 4 big needs for the pats

I'm tellin' ya Belichick is stocking up for a run at Brady's replacement in the next year or two. He has kept his second 1st round pick two years and running now and I have a theory that they will do the same again this year to pick up another 1st next year 2013 and then they will move when they find the prospect they want along with a willing trading partner that isn't in the market for a QB.

Basically the same thing the Colts are doing this season only with a plan behind it.

They already signed Ninkovich to an extension through next year I think.

I don't se Lloyd going to NE since his agent is Tom Condon and the Pats refuse to deal with him. If they get a WR in free agency it'll probably be Wayne. I don't see outside pass-rusher as a huge need; it can be upgraded but OLB is no longer a weakness if they bring back anderson. I'd rather they get an interior DL like Dontari Poe or Michael Brockers.

If they get a WR in FA then they should take Barron with one of their firsts. If they get a good safety in FA then I hope they take Alshon Jeffrey or Sanu with one of their firsts or someone like Nick Toon in the second.

you guys got to have wr help...that o would be rediculous with a win wr on the outside...wayne maybe...i think lloyd makes more sense for you guys but yeah condon will make it difficult...i thought i saw ninko was a free agent...anyways doubt he goes any place either way...he knows where his bread is buttered and its with belichick...mark anderson imo wants to get paid more than you guys will be willing to give him so i see him leaving but i guess that depends on his market...

i don't think barrons getting to you in the late 20's or brockers for that matter...sanu probably does get to you and maybe poe though...

whatever the case you guys should be all about some wr and db help this offseason...either in the draft or free agency...and i still think you could use a legit pass rusher but you may try and get that level production from 3 different guys or something the way beli does things...nick toon ugh

just the way i see things...
