Monday morning press conf (10/24): Coach Gase via Facebook

Interesting comments on Landry.

Interesting comments on Tannehill too.

nice. Good to say he's not getting ****y. He said the defense knows what's coming sometimes so he wants to mix things up but I guess it comes to execution.

Ozzy rules!!

:clapping:

Gase is learning well on the job and is making appropriate changes. Good stuff.

Funny how he got a smile on his face when he was asked how hard it was not to go play action all the time when Ajayi is running well.

I'm happy to see you say something nice about him

It goes with the wins. :chuckle:

That and Gase admitted his mistakes from early on and actually changed instead of it just being lip service. The first four games we're almost a mirror image of former failures. Then came Pitt and Buffalo where the right motivational moves are paying off, game planning to personnel, running the ball more and with purpose, and defense is playing as advertised in that the DL is being disruptive.

I dig it.

Gase has some work to do on special teams due to the injury to Reshad and also the more playing time Williams gets at RB means the less effective he is on coverage teams.

I don't know if Culliver and/or Bene play specials but someone might have to take Michael Thomas' spot if he's going to play safety full time. Aikens got a few snaps in the game (15) but that was in relief of IAQ I believe.

It's fair to be upset at the guy when he does bad as long as you give him props when he does well and you've done that. I know at the end of the day all we want is to see the team pl;ay well and win games. The rest it's just frustration most of the time

They both play specials and clearly Drake doesn't have the playbook down or he would be playing more. You put a player out there that doesn't have a clue what he's supposed to do it leads to unnecessary timeouts and/or delay of game, turnovers, qb getting killed or some other negative play. We saw it early in the season with some receivers running the wrong route.

I'm not sure why people want to keep trying to force Drake out on the field. I defer to Gase on this. He seems to have a handle on player motivation and development...seems to have done wonders for Ajayi.

But like he said that's coming off mostly 2 man formations. Without a serious speed daemon or a really talented TE that stuff gets shut down. Buffalo has some really good CBs.

Way to own it!
