Commentary on page 2 saying Miami is "worth the hype."

It is odd how everyone is now jumping on the bandwagon. The last few years, it has seemed that it took a miracle (or a botched drug test) for Miami to get into the headlines. From what I am gathering, everyone is slowly coming around. Have the media taken off their biased shades in order to see the light?

I still think the Patriots are the class of the AFC East, but I also think Miami will split with New England and have a big schedule advantage down the stretch -- Patriots at home, at Buffalo, Jets at home and at Indy.

ORRRRRR we finally have a team that is a legit contender, unlike the past couple years where I hate to admit it, but we sucked. Have our past starting QB's managed to even see the field on the teams they went to? Does the name Lamar Gordon, starting RB strike fear into your heart? How about Derrius Thompson? That amazing offensive line? Wannstedts genius? Spielmans eye for talent? No. We didn't have championship talent on offense or the coaching needed to win.

We have that now....and thats why the media is going to pay more attention to us. Take of YOUR biased shades and see what has really been going on. The media isn't going to give much respect to a loser, you have to win to gain that respect. And guess what, we have finally started winning, and are only getting better.

I totally agree. That comment was out for those out there who think the media have something against the Fins. And you know as well as I, many here think this is the case. Nothing controversial. I am probably just excited because Miami is FINALLY making the headlines again! But to reply, I think my shades are a little BIASED.

I think all our shades are a little tinted on this board. But who cares, the fins are going to kick some *** this year and no one will be more excited about it than us!

We're going to be good this year and everyone is starting to realize that. I'll tell you what though.... Peter King always gives the Phins props even when they didn't deserve any. I think he might be a fan.

There is always a "sexy" pick every pre-season. the bills were the sexy pick a few years ago and it didn't mean a damn thing. Why do you fin fans want to continue to torture yourselves. Optimism and excitement about your team is one thing but buying into the media hype is another. Continue to fall into the media trap and you won't enjoy a second of the season because of these expectations.

great read nice to see we are getting respect again with marino we always had a chance it just has not been the same since he has been gone...

It is the fun of being a fan.

...And why do you bills fans keep on throwing our situation going into this year in the same boat with your situation of two years ago???

It's not even close to the same situation. No matter how much you try to tell yourselves.

God forbid that another AFC East team builds on a previous season's momentum, with WAY better coaching and management and better player personnel, right? :rolleyes2
It's like no one else is allowed to just because the horrible bills couldn't do it.

It's like thats all Bill fans have. "We failed, so you will!" Gotta love the logic involved there. It's amazing isn't it, just last spring the Bills were coming off a 9-7 season and you'd think they won the SB based on all their trash talking last spring. If we were headed into the season with JP Losman as the QB rather then DC I would be a lot less optimistic.

Some tidbits.

"7. I think it's insane that the Vikings haven't given Brad Johnson a bump up from his $1.2 million deal. Teams with legitimate playoff hopes don't let a Super Bowl-winning quarterback play for the lowest veteran starting salary. Pony up, Zygi."

Maybe because the Vikings don't have legit playoff hopes? He just ripped Childress on the previous page for calling Koren Robinson a fine number 1 receiver.

"9. I think as I leave for my camp trip I'm still sticking with Dallas over New England in the Super Bowl. For now."
I know he's a homer, but this is quite too far IMO. For some reason I liked Peter King when I saw him on Inside the NFL. But after reading his blogs, my opinion of him is sort of downgraded. His love for T.O. is quite evident as well. He tries to temper it by knocking T.O. but we can all see the truth!

Your not a true football fan. The hype and expectations is what the game and media give to us fans. It's called entertainment.

Just take your medicine nolimit, because we going to knock the buffallo chips out of yah for years to come!:billsbite :billsbite :billsbite :billsbite :billsbite :billsbite :billsbite :billsbite
