Like I said before, all these minority owners are not going to bring the fans to the game. Ross missed the boat if he thought that just because he got the Williams Sisters, Estefans, and the Anthonys, that people were going to flock to the stadium. The only thing that will bring the fans back is a consistent team that wins. You don't have to win every game, but you have to win your fair share and inspire hope in your fan base. After the offensive and STs performance last Sunday, there is very little to inspire the fan base. Consequently we face a blackout on Monday nite. Unfortunately, the only way this sells out is if the owner buys up the remaining tickets.

WAIT A MINUTE....you guys said you didn't want Ross interfering in football matters and he hasn't. It's not his fault the team sucked it up week 1....I'm not sure how you're trying to rope this into being Ross's fault, but it's got nothing to do with him. Call Parcells and Sparano and yell at them.

There was only about 1000 tickets left and they said it won't be blacked out.

Meanwhile, San Diego, with all their success they have had over the past few years, and having a smaller stadium than ours, needed a 24 hour extension to sell out their game (to avoid a blackout)

Lions, Chargers get extensions, but the Jags don't bother to ask for one

Baltimore is at San Diego on Sunday. The Jags have 17,000 unsold seats.

The Dolphins are in good shape for having a 76,000 capacity stadium.. San Diego's stadium holds 5,000 less seats, and they can't sell out in time despite all the success and winning they have had over the past few years.

I don't believe he brought on minority owners to bring more fans in. I could definitely be wrong, but I would assume he brought them on cause they gave him money.

Wait, I have never heard of a monday night game being blacked out.. How does a monday ngiht game get blacked out.. its not like they can replace it with another game.. what would they do, televise will and grace.

They'll sell the seats. A night game in miami is one of your only chances to not get absolutely roasted at a game. I know I'd take the opportunity if I could, lol.

You guys make such a big deal out of nothing.. The Cowboys had tickets left as of yesterday for their home opener Sunday night against their arch rival the Giants in the "America's Team' new $1 Billion stadium

Per Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News, however, a blackout won't be happening.

But Archer's blurb on the matter is unclear. He suggests that there would have been no blackout, even if none of the 1,200 tickets had sold.

If that's the case, why did the Cowboys decline to tell CBS 11 on Wednesday afternoon the number of tickets that still needed to be sold, and why did they tell Archer on Wednesday night that only a few hundred remain?

Finally, a quick point of clarification on the blackout rules. To qualify as a sellout, all non-premium seats must be sold.

So it doesn't matter if the total attendance is 100,000. If a single non-premium seat is unsold, the venue is not sold out.

In this case, our guess is that the remainder of the 1,200 tickets tied to the unsold PSLs will be purchased by someone in time for the Giants-Cowboys game to be televised locally by NBC.

He didn't bring in minority owners to get people to the games. My god. You obviously are not a business person.

Wow, can we all please stop and think before we post something. These threads are just getting outrageous.

"Fire Dan Henning"
"MNF Blackout, Stephen Ross is an idiot for thinking the Williams Sisters would help sell seats"

Well I can assure you that Stephen Ross did NOT take on minority owners for the sake of selling seats.

Come on people, let's think a little before adding a thread.

you cant black out a game on espn lol

Who told you that? Of course they can, here is the blackout rule for ESPN

If the blacked-out nationally televised game is on a cable television network like ESPN or the NFL Network, all cable and satellite television providers in the affected markets must black out the cable network's signal to customers in the affected markets during the game (this is a condition of the channels' agreements with both the league and the providers). In addition, the game is not simulcast on a local broadcast station in the blacked-out markets. Local stations would still be able to show highlights on their newscasts after the game has concluded. In areas where the game is blacked out, ESPN and NFL Network would generally offer alternate programming; local stations originally scheduled to carry the game would either show their own alternate programming or, if a network affiliate, show the normal network schedule

All I know is that we're going to be loud as hell. I don't care how many of you join in. We're rocking that *****.

You are kidding right? Ross is worth several billions of dollars. The paltry sum the aforementioned minority owners gave him is equivalent to $10 to you or me. The only reason he brought them here is to enhance the fan base.

My money would be on World Series of Poker. Not that it matters the game will sell out in time.
