Hey guys...wanted your thoughts on this. I think Monday's preseason game is very important to us. One..I think its important for us to put last season behind us. A game filled with mistakes..and turnovers...might prolong last seasons hangover.

Do you think Saban wants to make a statement? Will we see a much different D? Will we see the blitz package unleashed?

Im looking for a very...organized...careful game plan. I think Saban will look to work on technique. And if their are alot of mistakes....you could see alot more than one guy crying. Id be afraid to ask Saban questions after the game if I were a reporter.

no, it is at best a mildly important game. It is a stretch to call it that. It is more of a sorta important game. I guess you could say it is as important as the scrimmage against the Titans last year.

Not really, I don't think he will "gameplan" hardly at all. I think he will look at it as a glorified scrimmage in which he will get to see players execute the basics of his playbook at full speed, nothing more.

important for rookies...and undrafted people....as our starters will run into the first huddle....call a time-out...and be replaced be backups....at least they will have the huddle thing down.

It's important to me, because I was going crazy waiting for football to start again. In the grand scheme of the season, it's not that important other than from an evaluation standpoint.

So if we stink up the place....it wont matter?

This game will be nothing more than a glorified scrimmage. It will be nice to see the boys on the field and running around, it will be nice to see Coach Saban on the sideline, but, I don't really expect much in the way of a gameplan or anything special as far as plays being called. Now, come the last couple of preaseason games, I might get a bit more excited, even though we know that the last preseason game is alot like the first, little time for starters and let the subs and 3rd stringers fill in ... this game isn't that important in the big scope of things..

depends if they stink up because they were out talented then yes that would matter. If Miami stunk because they made a bunch of mental errors because it is the first time to run plays against a team that is not theirs, then no.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

I don't think game planning really gets installed until the 3rd game.

If we win its important. If we lose it was nothing more than a scrimmage. That is the mindset of fan rationalization.

You do have to admit if Miami did dominate from 1st string down to 6th that it would be fun

I dont think the outcome is important at all. I do think the way we play is. Number one...its important to keep everyone healthy.

I do want to see us look as organized as we have during practice though.
