Since we didnt overpay, i mean sign, LaVar Arrington then who do you guys think we will go after in free agency with the money we have left?.....Ty Law and Charles Woodson are still out there......so is Jamie Sharper.....thoughts?????????:dolphins:

If they come at a decent price sure. Not going to overpay older DBs when there is a very deep DB Draft coming up.

Wouldn't want to waste that type of money when we still have to sign players in the draft. Im just hoping we go OLB with the first pick in the draft. Ill go a bit further and say i hope we snag Manny Lawson.

Well this is the type of situation that's giving sports a bad name nowadays, money GRUBBIN whores. What ever happened to the love of the game coming first, the days when they played for free. I'm really sure that 2.5 million isn't going to better his life if he was only getting 5 million initially... poor guy! :boohoo::confused:
Besides he aint worth 7.5 million!!

Its a shame buts thats sport nowadays, its a business. He also gets to beat up on his former team. Revenge is a big incentive when the team you go to pays more dollars as well.

Hey im all for getting Carpenter from Ohio or the LB from IOWA with the 1st round pick!

Did any of you guys see the speacial on the LB from IOWA on NFL Network!
the guy is pritty damn quick and he can play QB hahah u never know !

Law and Woodson are more overpriced that LA. I'm tired of prople calling him greedy. This is his job. He doesn't get paid to make miami fans happy. Would you do anything different? He still went to a contender and he got his money. Good for him.

you talking about chad greenway??? i think that is who your talking about if i remember right he played quaterback in highschool.... only other linebacker i can thinka bout would be hodge from iowa but i dont think he played QB at all... but yea im kinda glad we didnt sign lavar... i dont no why i think it was the money but im happy with the moves were making...

2.5 million will better anyone's life. The thing about professional football is that they play as thier job. You're just bitter b/c he didn't land here.:tantrum:

What we really will save is future Cap space and we won't have to worry about the risk of his knees going bad. He may be great for the Giants, but there is a risk associated.

That said, I thought this comment from one of the Poston brothers was humorous in its absurdity: "It came down to LaVar feeling most comfortable going to a good team in a familiar division with a defensive coordinator that he loves," Poston said.

No, it came down to the Giants being willing to dole out the cash! Arrington took the Giants deal b/c of the money. If the Dolphins had offered similar money, we had as equal a shot as the Giants. I'm sure those intangibles w/ the Giants did play a part - but, a very small part.

It would really be refreshing to hear a player, just once, say, "You know what? The reason I signed here and not there is because they offered me a better contract and that's why I'm here." There are exceptions to this, no doubt. But, by and large, that's the issue.

It would better my life, but not the life of a millionaire

A 50% payraise won't make a difference? OK. Don't forget millionaires have more financial obligations than you or I.

Step off your soap box. So if someone offered you 3 times the pay to do the same job at another company, you would be stupid enough not to take it? I think not. These guys don't play 20 years, they play 5-10 years. Get over it.

I wanted Ty Law last year and who knows if he could've made enough impact of us winning 10+ games. I thought he would still be good and while he isn't the player he once was he still had a pretty productive year on a team that player terrible, yet he still managed to make Pro Bowl. I would love to snag law to a short year contract with incentives.
