Per sources, Eugene Monroe is unlikely to return to the Ravens. Contract talks between Monroe and the Ravens have reached a stand still

Per a source, Monroe wants a long-term deal that averages around $10M annually. The Ravens want him for closer to $8M or $9M per year

Nothing new on Eugene Monroe for past several days, per sources, sides remain far apart, he'll go to free agency and see what's out there.

With the divide contractually and the money that other NFL teams are expected to pay for Eugene Monroe, unlikely he returns at this point

6 yr 57 mil. Load it to where the contract is backloaded. No guarantee money last 2 years. That would equal a 4 yr 30 mil deal. Chump change. 1st yr 9 mil. Yrs 2-4: 7. Yr 5 12.5. yr 6 14.5.

So basically the Ravens wants to pay Monroe what last year's free agents tackles (Jake Long) was paid.

il pay 10... not a penny over it, he isnt even worth 10

Do you really think he would accept a deal averaging less than $10 million a year at this point? Especially with the salary cap expected to be in the range of $160 million per team in couple of years.

Well at least he's not asking for $13 - 14M per season. His agent is probably loving the situation. I hope that he's worth $10M per season.

The top 5 highest paid left tackles are paid $10million or more per year. That's probably right where he'll get paid. The only reason jake Long went for under $9 million is that he's been in decline and has struggled with injuries. Sounds like the magic $10 million will be the cost to play. IMHO you probably can get the left tackle from Oakland for close to $8 million per. How much better is Monroe than Veldheer if at all?

Im not sure. What I do know is that with $30M this off-season, one way or another LT should be taken care of.....at least I hope!

considering the cap predictions, backloading would be a great. perhaps big roster bonuses?

Break out the check book Ross.

Get it done Day 1. Quick.

Thats a nice chunk of change. I might take a gamble on Collins or OAK's LT first, but if we have to- I'd pay him $10 mil

When you are desperate for something and, it is a strong need, you have to pay whatever it takes.
