I was lucky enough to attend the game against the panthers lastnight but i also couldnt help myself from recording the game to re-watch it later because for the most part, i got a little inebriated! But i had a great time! anyway, after watching the recorded game i couldnt help but notice one player jumpin off the screen at me.........and that player was paul soliai!!! Now i know he has had his problems, but he has lost the additional weight (which was a big issue showing his laziness) and is lookin like hes in pretty good football shape!
He was absolutely EATING the double teams alive and constantly getting into the backfield.....now i know that he is mostly running against the second teamers, although sometimes hes in there with the starters, but he is dominating! I hopefully see him turning into a haloti ngata type player from baltimore.

The last quick note for those of you that were at the game. cant remember exactly when, but somewhere around the 3rd or 4th quarter they caught us all by suprise and started playing the original fight song! i almost fell outta my seat, along with everyone else in the stadium! The place went crazy, hopefully crazy enough for the marketing people to take notice and give us our song back!!! cant help but get really really excited fot the upcoming season!!!!!!!!! GO PHINS!!!! :hi5:

The main thing i look for with him is that hes at least showing some enthusiasm out there, instead of just going through the motions. But last night you could sense the passion and effort coming from him. Again its just great to see!

Soliai always had the skill to be a very good player. He's got size and quickness, two things needed to play NT. I think he will get better, but only if he keeps his desire to improve and play ball. I expect hime to see a lot of playing time this year. He is a good pass rusher and Ferguson is getting old as well. Hopefully he can survive the dreaded Cam and Mueller draft curse.
