Moore and Henne

manning will sell ticket but afc is hard football. still donot see dolphins going to superbowl. still need help in lot area... they will make playoff. moore could do that to

Are you serious? Dont compare civics to cadillacs. Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks EVER. How many decades do you want to give this team to rebuild? Im over the word rebuild. Are the rams pissed when they went balls to the walls and won that sb with warner? Even tho they were not set up for winning the next 10 years? NO!!! Even teams like the pats who are the epitome of building a dynasty cant secure all the sb wins. Dynasties in the NFL are OVER. lets win now! Manning puts us in best position to win now. You want to put your faith in a rookie or matt flynn amd cross your fingers that we claw by tooth and nail to maybe get in the playoffs? No thanks. Id like to see miami win a SB before i die. And im only 25.

And I don't disagree he is a short term, 3-5 year, fix. I think your missing the upside of not only having Manning turn us into contenders for those 3-5 yrs, but he will also mentor and groom any young QB we draft etc.

I just don't see Manning playing for another 3-5 years. I see him playing two at most. And the other thing I am tired of is the whole "he'll make the back-ups better" mantra. A lot of good that did for Jim Sorgi.

It goes back to the Suck-for-Luck deal earlier this year - do you want to win a few games now or build a dynasty. If you want to win now, Manning is your guy, but you're not guaranteed a championship. Take him.

He gives you a bridge to the next qb with a chance to win a super bowl. Even if you have Tannehill, hes not going to be ready to do anything for maybe 2-3 years. Why wouldnt you bring him? You arent tied to him for the next decade and you arent going to win anything next year if its not a guy like Manning. Your logic is flat out wrong.

The problem is you think the organization can win it all now; I don't. Manning makes Miami a playoffs contender and an AFC East contender, but at the current moment, they do not have enough pieces for a serious SB run - and by the time the pieces are in place, Manning is done.

All those red zone field goals. All those stalled drives. That crap is over with manning on the field. We sweep the jets. We sweep the bills and we split the pats with manning. Thats 5 wins clutch and red carpet to playoffs.

Trial by fire is the best way for a quarterback to learn in this league - and is the only sure fire way to find out if they're good enough. With the exception of Rodgers, the majority of the QBs in the past decades have started as rookies - that is, if the organization decides the Tannehill route is the way to go.

Nope - that crap was over when you fired Sparano.

You gotta open your eyes bro.
We are not going to get a reciever like brandon marshall for a long time. Hes at his prime.
We are not going to get a 1000 yard back with bush's explosiveness for a while. Hes at his prime.
Bess is one of the best slot recievers in the game.

We can run, we can spread the ball over the field. We can stop offenses. We can keep opponents points low. We arnt going to get THIS many pieces together at once like this, maybe ever again. Marino never had a running game. Never had a good defense. We have that stuff now. We cant get a better team together than right now. And this manning thing is the perfect opportunity and the perfect piece to bring it all together for a late january run.

I am down with Flynn or Tannihill if the coach wants him , Im still torn on Manning , let Az or Den sign him.

If it is true that the failures of the Dolphins in the past few years can be pin pointed to Sparano as so many fans have insisted, and if it's true that Joe Philbin is the genius that he is, why not give Henne and Moore one more year while continuing to build the team through the draft and free agency? Not trying to stir the pot here, just trying to understand your logic. Henne has shown flashes of brilliance and Moore was just money down the stretch - why are we going after an uncoachable 36-year-old quarterback who is his "own system?" Hell, I am even down with signing Flynn - but crying over Manning is like crying after finding out your high school sweetheart is married 14 years since you last saw her - even though she's 50 pounds heavier and has 6 kids.

I don't remember mentioning backups. I clearly stated a QB we draft. Look at Aaron Rodgers who had time to sit in GB behind Favre. Now yes there are many qb's who start from day one and succeed but a lot also fail.

No one is talking about backups, but having Manning groom a young kid cannot hurt in any way.

Nope. Its not over if we have matt flynn with a crap pass on 3rd and short in the 30.
Its not over if tannehill throws an int in the redzone

Manning makes those mistakes verrrrrry few and far between.

Manning from ten years ago I would have taken. Manning now wanting top-tier money, he can go to Denver. I am not saying Manning won't bring excitement and promise to Miami - I am saying he isn't the long-term answer and if he doesn't come, it isn't that big a deal. Life goes on. He was once a prom queen - now he's just a decent-looking mother of five - not all that and a bag of chips.

And you, my friend, are a bald-headed, jelly-donut eating, power plant worker whose wife's got blue hair.
Actually I am a 26 year old computer programmer with a full head of hair.

not sure why you would want to "coach" Peyton Manning.. Just for the record also, his "own system" has worked and given Indy an ELITE offense for the last 14 years.. Good try though to try and discount that
