Moore and Henne

Manning from ten years ago I would have taken. Manning now wanting top-tier money, he can go to Denver. I am not saying Manning won't bring excitement and promise to Miami - I am saying he isn't the long-term answer and if he doesn't come, it isn't that big a deal. Life goes on. He was once a prom queen - now he's just a decent-looking mother of five - not all that and a bag of chips.

When did Manning say he wanted "top tier" money? Last I heard was he was willing to accept an incentive laced contract...

Actually I am a 26 year old computer programmer with a full head of hair.

Pics..or Im calling shenanigans LMAO...

Even if Miami does sign Manning, they are still in a very strong division that would give them serious competition. This win-now mentality is silly. Besides, you didn't answer my question: whose fault was it - Sparano and the front office or Henne's? I am not a Henne fan, but all this talk about how horrible he's going to be is just silly, especially when you're touting Philbin and blaming everything on Sparano.
The FO's fault for drafting a LT with the first overall pick and bargain bin shopping for the most important position in football, Sparano's fault for being a ****ty coach, and Henne's fault for being a ****ty QB. It's pretty simple really. And he's not going to be horrible, he is horrible.

Winning now is a long term solution. This team is considered lower tier in the league by most. The most important thing to do is win now. And winning now starts with Peyton manning. My god I cannot believe their is doubt here about that. A winning team attracts winning players. And when we win a super bowl
It will be much easier to get talent and attract top tier players.

Im content with Moore and adding around him if we miss out on manning and flynn

If it is true that the failures of the Dolphins in the past few years can be pin pointed to Sparano as so many fans have insisted, and if it's true that Joe Philbin is the genius that he is, why not give Henne and Moore one more year while continuing to build the team through the draft and free agency? Not trying to stir the pot here, just trying to understand your logic. Henne has shown flashes of brilliance and Moore was just money down the stretch - why are we going after an uncoachable 36-year-old quarterback who is his "own system?" Hell, I am even down with signing Flynn - but crying over Manning is like crying after finding out your high school sweetheart is married 14 years since you last saw her - even though she's 50 pounds heavier and has 6 kids.
There are certain attributes that work really well in the WCO that Henne doesn't possess. His "flashes" have only been that...flashes. He has never been consistent in his career. I don't think he's even been consistent during the course of a game. Some things you just can't teach and this is irregardless of the fact that he was taught wrong by Sparano and Henning and it would be difficult to break him of those old habits. This is why Philbin would prefer to draft his own QB and coach him up his way (and I'm paraphrasing what he said recently at an alumni luncheon).

I'm not sure Moore is a fit for the WCO offense yet either but I'm more willing to give him a shot and see what happens especially if we end up losing out on Manning and drafting Tannehill. I think Tannehill would be better off sitting for two years, like Matt Flynn, like Aaron Rodgers before having to start. Tannehill has only QB'd 20 college games and he is still very raw....lots of upside but very raw.

wouldn't waste the money... develop Charles Clay, potentially more athletic. IF, you get manning, one season with him and Clay should be massively improved, a la Clark...

Don't waste the money.

wtf!?! the original post is blank
It's the new thank system. If a post gets too many "no thanks" it gets downranked and hidden. You should still be able to see it if you choose to (should have an option where the post was, though that may just be a mod feature).
