Moore (I don't get it)

Give me a break, Matt Moore almost threw a pick 6, he threw a ball RIGHT Into the hands of Takeo Spikes who pulled a madden and just batted it down. Then he did throw a pick on a terrible decision and it was called back on a PI that has nothing to do with the play in honesty, he under threw Hartline and the idiot CB tackled hartline even though he was out of the picture.

Moore threw the ball to a spot where Hartline was expected to go up and fight for the ball. Him not being able to fight for the ball because he was tackled was what allowed the other DB to come up and pick it in that same spot.

What's your excuse for the gift wrapped INT Henne threw? Again, I'll point out you are making excuses for the guy who had 30 starts and all the prep time.

they did not allow him to win a game like any other QB, the coach runs the ball down ten, with first and ten on the sandiego thirty yard line in the fourth quarter, we all knew sandiego was going to get at least a field goal, instead he kicks a 52 yard field goal, this guy make you sleep

What makes it worse is that Reggie Bush, who seems to be 50/50 on generating any positive yardage at all, was taking the carries.

Where did I say Matt Moore was better? Henne has had 31 starts to show that he can be something with this team. Matt Moore, who played to the same level of mediocrity (and there's no way you can say it was better or worse), has had one relief appearance where he was playing with players he had hardly been on the field with.

It just amazes me how one mediocre appearance gets you dismissed if you aren't Henne, but 30 doesn't get Henne dismissed. And if a backup who hasn't been given the same chance for success as a passer plays at about the same level as the guy who has had all starter reps, then it's not fair to say that he is worse.

So what was his excuse in Carolina for being so mediocre? It isn't Henne or Moore, it's the team dude. I hate how everyone points at the QB, but its not the QB, this team just sucks. What I saw today offensively and defensively was pathetic. It was lucky to even be 26-16 because the Chargers were letting us stay in this game. That dumb bonehead personal foul, not to mention Vincent Jackson went out with an injury, and idk if he came back because I didn't watch the 4 quarter because I had a basketball game, but this team performance was pathetic today, especially the safeties. Idk how many tackles I saw Rashard Jones miss trying to go for a strip and him just missing the ball. It's pathetic, I'm not going to single out 1 player like everyone has to do, its the whole team we have to look at, and it starts out with the coaches.

Hartline easily ran pass that spot already, but ok if you want to make excuses, how bout Henne being drilled on that play again. Since we are making excuses for everyone. Wasn't Henne drilled as he released the ball? Maybe if the coaching staff would go out and get a real offensive line, maybe we could finally win some games, or how bout we actually get a true defensive line or something. IDC who the qb is, I'm not playing favorites, but winning or losing isn't about the QB, its about the coaching staff and the players you put around each other. Its not the QB! Its the team losing! You want to know why? Look at the man on the sideline calling the plays and bringing in the players. Everybody even wants to go back to Pennington but forget, didn't Pennington start out 0-3 his second year before being replaced?

Moore was much BETTER then Henne. Hitting receiver's in stride not throwing the ball behind his receivers and just moore fun to watch.

Why are you protecting Moore? He blows. So does Henne. So does this team and it's pathetic mentality. It's so useless to protect him. What you want him to start? For what? So we can have another mediocre QB on a subpar team so that we can continue to blow? Makes no sense. There's no immunity for any player on this team. No one is playing good an no one deserves to get protection.

Henne was hit after he threw the ball, not when he threw the ball. That doesn't excuse the throw.

17-26 with 1 interception, 176 yards. He wasn't better than Henne, it was the exact same crap.. Moore didn't do much after that first drive either.

I don't get why people are protecting Moore at all. He hasn't proven that he is better than anyone at all, especially not Henne. In fact he's proven that he is exactly like Henne. Inconsistent and doesn't perform when it matters most.

I've said it repeatedly, the only reason I'm "protecting Moore" is that another QB deserves to have at least 1/10 of the chance that Henne has had before he's written off. I just don't want to see Chad Henne start another game for this franchise, not when we know that we cannot win with him.

Definitely. That was actually a game changing throw. 40 yards downfield and it hits him in stride, 3 yards in front of the nearest defender and a clear run to an end zone? But bringing up Marshall will invariably lead to responses that he has hurt Henne too, which he has. But that deep pass from Moore was much better than any Henne to Marshall play that he's dropped.

Really???? We are finally admitting it now. Criticizing Marshall usually gets a, "he's a top 5 WR in this league" response. My response to that is, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

As dumb as Josh McDaniel has looked he's looking pretty smart for 2 moves right now.

1. Trading Brandon Marshall to Miami.
2. Letting Mike Nolan walk.

I agree that Moore plays with much more enthusiasm than Henne and is a lot more natural out there. There is no protection for Henne at all. He hasn't proven anything, and it wouldn't hurt or benefit this team if Moore came in. But Moore makes the same mistakes Henne does. I see what you mean though. I took it wrong and thought that you were like blowing him up, but I see that you have thought this out.

Did you notice how the first drive actually involved Charles Clay & Reggie Bush split wide, and general offensive creativity? But that threw that crap out for all of Moore's following drives and put about the most predictable offense out there. And it's pretty simple why they did; they haven't done anything but focus their efforts on Henne.
