Moore is Very Good

Mods, please correct title. OP forgot to put NOT before Good in title.

I think Gerrard won the QB batthe by bustin up his knee and not being able to play with this team.

I love how a QB who was among the top tier in rating last year has suddenly become "terrible" amongst those who get aroused by the idea of a first round pick at the helm. Kind of resembles how Pennington became the only thing holding this team back from the Super Bowl at the end of 2008, at least to about 70 percent of this board who thought Henne would by default be better due to his stronger arm.

SO True.

Right now Moore is 33% completion and 57 yards against back ups. Ya he is great. I don't have to b watching to know he sucks.

You have to have your receivers catch the balls thrown to them (at least the ones right in their hands). Moore can't throw AND catch in the same play. You should evaluate his decision making and I think on that score he's pretty good. Go ahead and bash him all you want, I'm just saying the guy is a good player and he will win some games for you.

now, i know you're not watching, so i know why your point is GARBAGE.

Guys - NEITHER of these QBs looked good or bad b/c netiher of them had ANY help tonight. Get Over it - Wasted Game - Get a Right Tackle and some emotion or dont bother playing Miami.

Ditto, hard to judge Moore when he was the victim of repeated drops and an instance of a beautiful 20 or so yard pass being incomplete because the inexperienced receiver stepped out of bounds before catching the ball in bounds.

Matt Moore has not done anything to earn the job in preseason, but considering he's been a performing NFL starter before, and Tannehill is wildly inexperienced playing QB anywhere, it should really be him who has to show without a doubt that he is the best option.

This game was worst case scenario (besides an injury) for the coaches. WRs played SO bad that the QBs didn't separate themselves. Coaches will have to go to the tape and see whose dropped passes were more on target.

Against backups, and with backups. It's quite common for a second team offense or defense to completely dominate the other in preseason, but both of them them tend to be composed of steaming piles of ****. Considering I counted at least 3-4 of Moore's passes hitting off receivers hands, and there was one completely obvious play where a receiver stepped out of bounds right before catching a beautifully thrown ball downfield, I think its fair to say Moore was the victim of the steaming piles tonight, most of which won't play in the NFL after this preseason.

really.... Start moore and win six games or roll with tannehill and win six games. I'm going with tannehill

My eye test tells me that one QB consistently had better ball placement, better movement and feeling in the pocket (or out of the pocket depending on how bad the blocking was), and was more organized before the play.

It wasn't the QB who had 4 passes batted at the line.

Start the QB who has the best chance to not make this team a laughing stock in week one. Also, its much easier to transition from a veteran to a rookie during the season. It's a much bigger deal if a young QB is annointed the starter and is then pulled.

We could win six games, but one version of the season could involve a rookie falling flat on his face when rushed into a starting job, thus hurting his confidence and possibly stagnating his development, or we could win six games where a rookie took over midseason once he was more ready (and once the rest of the offense had gotten their feet under them with an experienced QB at the helm) and ended the season on a high note. Nothing says either of these scenarios are guaranteed to happen, but the history of the NFL (as well as Tannehill's mediocre performance and lack of experience at the QB position) suggests it is likely.

you understand batted passes are more on the Oline not doing its job right? And I guess you consider running 25 yards backwards and throwing it out of bounds " having better movement out of the pocket" , come on man Moore out of the pocket compared to Tannehill out of the pocket is not even close.

Not to mention tannehill was really showing some composure after constantly getting plowed into by D line man,

Yeah sorry but Moore didnt look at good tonight. Not to say he did or didnt out play RT but he didnt do anything tonight that says we need to start him. The truth is we r a 4-6 win team with moore at QB and we r a 4-6 team with RT in there. Let RT get his XP now and build for thr future. Moore at QB does nothing for us. He probably wont be here next year, y start him?
