This reminds me of Fielder and Grease.
Im not a hige fan of RT. But I like to win better.
Fins up.

Just like Fiedler can't be compared to Bob Griese, there is no comparison between Matt Moore (a great back up) and Ryan Tannehill (lately playing like the top10 QB Gase envisioned him becoming as the reason he accepted the HC position).

I doubt our record would be much different over the last 5 years if the team was as committed to making MM a successful starting qb as they were RT.

You are in La la land my friend.... I knew a ridiculous post like this was coming. We beat the Jets who threw the towel and visibly not making any efforts at all.

Very true.

But our future is better for it and Ryan Tannehill's ceiling is that of a QB that can lead this team to a Super Bowl and be a force in doing so. Matt's a gamer and you put the pieces around him he may be able to make enough plays to make some noise in the playoffs (not this year, just too banged up on defense and the run game is stagnant without Pouncey).

We are in a real solid QB situation.

Moore played a hell of a game and is an excellent back up.

But under Gase, Ryan Tannehill is going to develop into what he has the potential to be: one of the better QBs in this league year in and year out.

Seeing as how the Dolphins weren't even remotely successful at coaching, protecting, or supporting RT, or putting him in a position to succeed for his first four years here, I'm not entirely sure MM would even be alive after the same four years.

With all due respect, I think the Fiedler comparison was to Brian Griese and not Bob.... :D

I'm happy as hell that Moore played so well. Given the uncertainty surrounding Tannehill's knee, I don't want the coaches giving any consideration to rushing Tannehill back. I hope Moore leads the team to a victory in every game he plays. Let Tannehill fully heal, even if that means he is done for the season. Next season Tannehill is the starter and Moore is the proven backup that everyone hoped he would be. This is the QB situation that all teams hope for.

Not even remotely. The TD passes to Sims were clutch, but if throws air balls up next week like he did last night he'll be looking at a fitzpatrick'esque result. They kept a lot off his shoulders and he got real lucky with a few of those ducks. Very proud of him for not letting the game be too big fir him but i don't get why some people think he is any kind of competion for RT.

There is no comparison honestly. We have really good starting QB and a really good back up. Can't ask for a better combination than that.

It is just one game, but this should silence all the Matt Moore haters who have been trashing him like he's garbage. He is a very solid qb. That being said though, Tanne is our guy and will be. He also has been very solid this year. I'm just happy we have a good qb situation. It's been way to long since wevery had this kind of a problem... a problem I'm perfectly content with having!

I'm not sure this is correct. That pass to Stills last night was gorgeous. Moore can't throw into tight windows like RT, and I don't think he's as accurate on short and intermediate routes, but he does indeed throw a pretty deep ball. They're completely different QBs. The real test will be next week, although we MIGHT be lucky enough to run into another team that is quitting.

Having Tannehill as a starter and Moore as the backup is not a "real solid QB situation"

Hell I don't know what else is.

That pass to Gray to set up the first TD? Guess that was just a "duck"
