While having Moore is a great luxury, we can see that if Tannehill goes down, Moore does not get you to the Super Bowl. I think the time is right to trade him (if you can get good value) and draft Ryan's backup who can be trained like Belichick does in NE. That said, right now, what do you think his trade value is? Who would be in the market for him?

You dont have a backup to get you into the superbowl. You have one to do exactly what Moore did which was get us to the playoffs. Unfortunately Tannehill couldnt make it back. You cant plan to have a backup play longer than 2-3 games if he is playing longer then chances are your season is done unless you have the best defense in the league qnd a killer run game

Bruh, Tannehill could of been 100 percent and we weren't going to the Super Bowl. Anybody who had some bad chili at kickoff, went to take a **** and came back and saw it was 14-0 knew we weren't going to the Super Bowl.

There is no trade value here. Moore doesn't have the physical upside or the age to be considered a "valuable asset".

He's a backup QB who came in and did his job pretty darn well. Ryan is signed through 2020, Moore is on a good backup deal. . . . unless for some weird reason Gase has a change of heart and does not think Ryan is his QB of the future, that would be the only reason to replace Moore with some sort of draft pick and start developing.

I still hope we keep a guy on the PS, Doughty or whoever, at all times to develop.

Until then, its good to have a quality backup QB in this league with the amount of throwing . . . and Moore is one of them.

thank you. My two idiot brothers must have had that same chili because they showed up to my house a little late. And the score was 14-0.

Need a good backup to hold the fort when the starter goes down. Seen too many contending teams go into the tank when the starting QB goes down for a month. With Moore at least we will have a shot to stay in the race until RT gets back. If we had to put in Bryce Petty or Matt McCloin when RT went down against Arizona, we never make the playoffs.

In theory, he wants to do like BB and develop a guy and trade him 3 years later.

I may put my fist through a wall if this regime spend a 2nd round pick on a QB.

:idk: not a lot, he has been out of contract several times and nobody ever made a serious move to get him

good backup, let him stay where he is

You don't trade Moore. He is a good back up who is cheap. Some people thought I was blasting him yesterday because I said he lost us the game, which he did. I also stated that he got us past AZ, Jets, and Bills (didn't play very well against the Bills but got the win). He did pretty well for a back up and got us in to the playoffs. Love him as a back up! I hope this does end all of the absolute silly ignorance by a few on here that he should have been the starter all along though!

Just bring him back as a backup and hope that tannehill doesnt get hurt again so our season becomes window dressing

Can a trade value be negative?

Not sarcasm related to Moore's value to the Dolphins, just to his value to other teams. No team would trade for him.

Tannehill hasn't even proved he can get us to the playoffs yet. Has he won a game in December with the playoffs on the line? All of a sudden we were going to the super bowl, and losing Tannehill cost us our shot? Nobody was covering for this defense against any quality opponent. Moore played damn well, I doubt Gase will let him go. You get a 3rd qb to develop.

Spending on a backup QB is like paying for home insurance. Matt Moore is an ideal backup because he works well with Tannehill and has the capacity to step up when his number is called. Matt made some mistakes yesterday but did pretty well over the past month.

I don't think Moore wants to leave and his value to the team is higher than anything you would get for him in a trade.

Oh, I think RT proved a lot this year. His play went a long way towards making this playoff run possible. You are constantly beating that drum.....you are wrong, but you have the right to be wrong, enjoy it.

On the defense, you are correct. In the Playoffs, good defenses advance. We don't have one of those yet.

Matt Moore is a quality back up who did his job. We went 2-2 behind him and he beat the two opponents we needed him to beat to get us to the dance. I hope he stays in Miami the next couple of years. He is one of....if not the best back up in the league.
