Idk bout you guys but do you think since sage has been here three years, he has more confidence with his receivers than ferrote.. i mean that td pass was in between to db's and he threw it up for chambers. i dont think ferrote understands that if he throws it up chambers loves making those catches. I tihnk sage starts and u will see what im talking about. he knows his players which in my opinion is very important. i think ferrote is still trying to find his receivers except wes welker.

Gus should stay the starter. He is a career back-up, Sage is a career 3rd stringer. Let's stick with the better option, if that makes any sense.

I still don't see how at this point, people can still automatically deem Frerotte the better option.

Trust me, it's a lot easier for a QB to come in the game down 20 points and try to make something happen. Sage has had about 3 preseasons to justify his place on our roster. Every time he winds up the back-up.

And every preseason, he does better than the rest of the QBs. Go figure.

And every preseason he is playing against Non-Drafted rookie free agents trying to make a roster spot. Sage Rosenfals is not the answer at QB for us. It's true that Gus hasn't put up spectacular numbers, but he is our best option @ QB right now.

This sounds like something Wanny would have said.

how do you really know that Sage isn't the answer for us right now. When he really hasn't had the chance. And when is is thrown in he makes plays . And makes longer passes that I have not seen a whole lot of since Danny retired.

And no I am not comparing him. But i do think he might be able to strech the field and possibly help out. Is he the answer. I do not know. But it doesn't hurt to make a switch at this point. because we definitly are not going anywhere with Gus .

Yeah I did see quite a few games in Iowa City. And I hope he does the same for Miami also.

I also like what I see in Drew Tate.

Thats not the point. In every chance he has gotten he has done great (I know, 3 ints last year, but it was against ****ing Baltimore). It only seems natural that he should get a shot one level up.

Do you honestly think Gus would have even dared to make that pass to Chambers? Even if he did, it would have been a couple yards too far or a couple yards too short. Then the ball would have been intercepted and everyone would have complained that Chris didn't fight for the ball.

I disagree. When your down 20 points it is sometimes easy to throw underneath routes and pad your stats that way, but they are playing prevent defense which (surprise, surprise) is supposed to "prevent" teams from passing deep. Hence it is actually harder to come in and throw a 77 yard bomb when you are down by 20. In Sage's short time playing in regular season games he has thrown two nice deep balls. Thats two more than Frerotte has thrown in 6 starts. And I don't care who Sage was going up against in pre-season he is accurate. Gus is not. It is as simple as that. At this point we can all see Gus is not going to take us to the playoffs, so why don't we see what we have in Sage. He probably won't be the QB of the future, but you never know he could be, and at this point it can't hurt to see.
