Assuming the phins beat jets and pats beat the bills...

The bills suffered a major collapse mid season....
The Jets wind up losing 4 of last 5 and miss playoffs after looking like the favorites when they were 8-3

I agree... the Jets. Buffalo had an unbelievable amount of injuries this season, and some years are just like that. They aren't a bad team when healthy, and expectations will be reasonable for them next year.

But the Jets... I mean, if they beat Seattle they're roaring into their showdown with the Fins. They might, anyway. But the whole mentality in NY is different if they put the Hawks away like they were supposed to. A loss to Miami would send a lot of folks packin', and that's a hell of a jolt for a team that had such high expectations only a month ago. Two non-playoff wins here and they're offering these guys extensions instead of showing them the door.

I personally did not expect the Jets to be anything more than an 8 win team. I was kind of surprised with how well they played early on. The Bills however were the team i expected to run away with the division when Brady went down, and for a while it looked like they might. But then they tanked. I don't want to hear about injuries, every team has injuries, good teams step up. Look at the Patriots.

i totally agree, the bills went 5-1 to 7-9... that is horrible, inexcusable collapse, maybe one of the worst ever...
I thought the Jets were gonna be a 9 win team, and i thought it was clear cut after 4 weeks of play the bills would run away with the division getting 12 wins or so...
The Pats suprised me big time, Cassel has been great, and as much as i hate the pats and their cheating ways.. they got cassel ready and made it work with tons of bigtime injuries...
who'd the bills even lose? McGee for 3 weeks? Schobel for 6-7 weeks? not many excuses for this... evans, lynch, edwards and many others played most the season...
the Jets will have lost their last 4 of 5 though...

Tough to call. Jets in fairness could be 5 or 6 wins better than last season, which is good progression. Even though they did spend alot of money on Favre and Free Agents, they are at least goin in the right direction, even though their recent collapse speaks otherwise.

Even though the progression, I still think Mangini needs to go because lets look at some of the games the Jets lost this season. Oakland (4-11), 49ers (6-9) and Seattle (4-11). Good teams dont lose that many games against these type of teams. When the Jets are able to go out and beat the Pats and Titans and then lose against bad teams it seems Mangini struggles in the motivation department. Its easy to motivate players against the good teams, but difficult in games you should win. Complacentcy and lack of motivation is the main reason why I think the Jets have lost three games against teams with a combined total of 14-31.

I picked the Bills. Wow did they fall apart  I'm not laughing :sidelol: I'm not laughing at their misery...:sidelol::maninground::sidelol:

Hopefully the Jets trade for Losman too.....:sidelol: (Like Favre their savior)

Jets , the bills did not spend as much as the jets or trade away draft picks to put together a team. disappointment should consider the value invested and paid to get success.
jets took on 160 million and are over the cap next year. so they mortgaged their future for this season.

This is as disappointing of a season as I could remember for the Bills. The East was wide open for the taking and the Bills completely blew a huge start.

That said, we still are a young team with a 2nd year QB. The Jets are older and acquired a Hall of Famer. If the piece of crap Losman wasn't on the team, the Bills would have just beaten the Jets at home. So I've very disappointed but not as disappointed as Jets fans must be.

It's the Bills. I don't care who the opponents are going from 5-1 to potentially 7-9 is horrible. The Jets made bigger moves and still have a shot at the playoffs. If they get in I don't think you can call it a dissapointing season. In fairness they've lost to some of the worst teams in the league in Oakland and Seattle off the top of my head.

I think both teams will fire their head coaches.

I gotta' say the Bills because they started out 5-1. They looked strong, everybody picked them as the favorites and then they saw their own division and everything went wrong for them right after that.
