Yeah, it's just one moron's opinion, but I had to share it here.

He ranks the new QB's with the best chances of winning. I'll save some mystery as to where Daunte is, but just mention that vaunted programs such as New Orleans and DETROIT (who has won a SINGLE playoff game in about 50 years) apparently have a better 'chance of success'.

Great. I checked the forum for it and didn't see anything. I guess that's why I post something once every 9 months. Anyway, a moderator can feel free to delete this.

Yes they are, Thor.

If someone tells me that Aliens are actually in charge of a small country in Eastern Europe, I would disagree, and yes, they would be morons.

Don Banks attempting to act like the mighty Detroit organization who just landed Jon Kitna and Josh Mcnown are better suited for winning then Miami with Culpepper....is moronic.

It's funny how some people in the media keep pointing to a few bad games last year before his injury. They forget the 3 pro bowls he went to and give every ounce of that success to Linehan and Moss. Now THAT is moronic.

let everybody doubt us. they must not understand or realize that saban knows his schit and has a very good plan. Saban is THE MAN IN CHARGE.
underdogs at this point is better. they won't know what hit'em:wink:

I agree. Kitna is more likely to have success with Detroit then Daunte is with Miami? That is moronic. It would be one thing if this opinion was based upon the fact that Daunte may not play because of injury, but it doesn't. It assumes Daunte will be healthy, and that Kitna will still have more success. Banks has something personal against Daunte, no doubt.

I've been wrong before, and have been a moron. There's no dispute there

It just blows my mind that the people IN football, ex coaches, current coaches etc. all like the way Saban is doing things. They all feel it's a matter of time before we get this done. They all also think (if healthy) that Pep is a pro bowl QB.

But, our boy Don disagrees with those cooky "NFL types" and sees that out of Culpeppers 7 years in the NFL, we shoud concentrate on about 4-6 games last year. AHh just forget the other pro bowl seasons.

My favorite is when Daunte threw 39 TD's in 2004. Everyone says "Yeah, but he had Moss" Moss caught 13 of them...13 out of 39. Apparently he did throw a few of them to other players.

Maybe Banks is right, Culpepper will flop. Still, I'd rather have the Phins with freaking Lemon at QB then the Lions with Kitna.

Kitna is a good QB. Why you're all acting like he's Gino Toretta makes me wonder.

The ever-so-classic "I'm smarter than the sportswriter" thread..........gotta love these. Arm-chair QB's who spend an inordinate amount of time whining about what some sportswriter said about his team. Grow some sack. No seriously, grow some sack. These guys are entitled to their opinions, much as you are, but we don't know how the QB situations pan out. It's not as though John Kitna can't find success with all those weapons they have in place and Marinelli getting those troops in-line. For all you know Daunte may never fully recover from his injury. His life as a mobile QB may be relinquished to the role of a pocket passer, something he's simply never been in his days playing football. Rememeber, Kitna's never had to battle back from any kind of career threatening injury and he's actually gotten better as he's gotten older.

Because they're sensationalists............. when they don't like something, they compare it to the worst thing that comes to mind.

How the hell do they even say ramsey or kitna(lowercasing there names because they blow) in the same sentence as Daunte. People obviously don't realize that he's had one bad season. When the **** has ramsey or kitna ever had seasons as great as Daunte had. I would say the same about Brees but I wanted him and I'm not going to act like he sucks like ramsey or kitna. Tell Don Banks to call when kitna or ramsey are in the same league as Pepper.

Another person who missed Banks' point. It amazes me how your emotions take control of you.

All Don was saying in 2006, was that they had a better chance of succeeding, because he not only believes Daunte's injury will make it difficult to perform in 06, but that Linehan not being there could continue to impact him. He made no mention over who was the better athlete or if he believed any of this to be long term.

I'm dreaming of the day when posters on this board stop thinking sportswriters get the job just because they happen to be hanging outside the building on hiring day.

He's fine but the point is he is playing for Detroit.

1) Brees in NO
2) Kitna in Det
3) Ramsay in NYJ

How can he honestly think any of those are better than Culpepper in Miami.

All three are teams that were worse than us last year.

Even Philip Rivers in SD should be higher than those three because he plays for a better team.

Read the article, and not what the first poster said. The article was not about who has the best chance to "win" in 06, it is who has the best chance to prosper as a QB.
