Im tired of everyone saying "we need all the picks we can get!" All the picks in the would wont really matter if we dont get anyon egood with them. I think we need to trade up and get calvin johnson. He is an amzing player that would really help the team in a position we are lacking. We could give up our 1, 2a or 2b (not both) and either a pick next year or even chambers. i think the browns would make that trade because the guy they really want AP will be there at #9. then maybe some o- line guys. We arent really needing a QB in the first round. there is plenty of good QB in the thrid and fourth (staton, kolb and everyone is forgeting troy smith! he could be a steal in the 3rd or 4th round) culpepper WILL be good next year. he wasn't ready to come back from 4 torn legiment in his knee, which one torn takes about 6-9 month to heal and he tried to come back too soon. our defense is gonna be great this year they only place we need some is CB or S. i wouldnt was a early pick on defense when our offense needs more.

we could even pick up trent green if we dont think culpepper isnt ready, so we dont really need a QB in the early rounds. i dont like getting another old QB but calvin is too good to pass up. we might be able to pick up green and instead of trading chambers to the browns we could trade green. i would like that better than trading chambers.

actually we dont need to trade up to get someone good we just need to get real footbal players regardless of what position they play. i think alot of jokers are focused on those damn points but if a te can really play draft the guy if it is a wr get him stop screwing around with fantascy point and get a stud left tackle or a big time wr helll i dont care if we draft 2 wrs 2 te's and 2 olinemen gest get ready to play.
i think too many people are hung up on points while the only points that matter are the points on the scoreboard.
i would like us to get quinn or thomas but that is not going to happen. we should by all rights draft three olinemen and 2 wrs and a rb this year and get a qb next year .

we don't need a RB we have two good ones. Ronnie and Ricky and we really need a big WR so why not trade up for calvin. he is amazing

and next year there isnt gonna be that great of QB's. The best QB to come out next year will probably be Chad Henne, Michigans QB, and he isnt that good. He probably be a career backup. so we should take a QB in thrid round.

i think getting calvin johnson would be the one guy that would help miami the most and would help our offense alot , especially culpepper. he is the one guy that could bring miami back to the playoffs. all you need is one great WR to bring back the old dante culpepper.

I've been a huge Calvin Johnson advocate around here but I gotta tell you guys I really think it's time to forget about it.

Atlanta is in the game now and they have more ammunition than we do.

Do you want to outbid them because it will probably take a lot more than just one 2nd and Chambers.

You can respond by telling me I'm only speculating about Atlanta and you would be right. Everything about the draft is speculation until it actually happens.

I find it to be a bit of a coincidence though that in the midst of recent rumors of ATL's interest in Johnson, they suddenly lower the price of a QB they were patient enough with last year to ask 2 number 1s for then a 1, 3 to two 2's and move up of 2 spots.

It's still a great deal for ATL, but why the change of heart on Schaub all of the sudden?

you can't honestly think Peterson will be there at #9

the reason they wanted the #8 pick wasnt to trade down for calvin.it was to get landry cuz they thought miami wanted him. just think, they just got a really good WR in horn, and with all the other picks they got they will be able to get an average/good WR in the 2nd round.

whos gonna take him unless someone (Bills/ Jets) trades up for him.

oak-russel/ just picked up rhodes
det-they just picked up tatum bell from broncos
arizona- need OL and have edge
bucs- have c. williams
wash-has portis
minn- has chester, which had a good year and shows potential, they have bigger needs
falcons-don't need RB, also they want landry

who is gonna take

well first off you neglected to include Cleveland who is considered a likely landing spot.
det-kevin jones is a health risk, tatum bell is not carried the load for a full season(or played behind a bad line)
ari-edge was not great last year
bucs-williams under 800 yds and 1 td last year, not proven to be durable
wash-portis missed half of last year with injury
atl-probably will draft landry but dunn is 32 and norwood was injured alot

also many teams are going to a two-back system.

i know anything can happen in the draft but he has too much talent to fall that far.

yes he is really talented but all of those teams have much bigger needs than a RB.
