"Amari Cooper: "It's always been a dream to play in Miami, whether it's for Miami or against." His hometown. Grew up a Dolphins fan"

-----------------

I havn't followed cooper with the cowpies much but if he still has game and isn't a tub star now then i am in on bringing him to his fav team. I see this happening. McD is showing genius by bringing in and investing in the dolphins with coaches who played here at a high level and are STILL invested in the team and their hearts are in miami and are sick at how badly their team has fallen as the fans are.

Look what it did for duke johnson coming home? Get another TALENTED player or two who has been a fins fan 4 life and dreaming of playing for the finz and coupled with the former players now here coaching and there is INSTANT influx of pride and history which has been sorely lacking in miami for a couple decades. McD no dummy and after learning cooper is a lifelong fan and dreams of playing here, i bet daddy macD already has him penciled in for a meeting.

This cat is on a different level ... Love it!
LOL...... After watching his piece on McCaffee, I was thinking this guy is a different sort of "cat".

I like it. He takes the serious stuff seriously, but is also able to have some fun and be "real".

I know some do not care for the way media (social and otherwise) operates today but like it or not it is part of western culture these days. The fact that he understands, and even embraces this reality is fine with me.

I would love if I heard him say this quote

“ I’m taking this presser to announce I’m not taking anymore pressers and will now give my team 100 percent of my attention”

“I’ll see you at my officially scheduled presser… Phins up”

Why do you see his interaction with the media as a problem? Serious question, as I get the impression you think it is detrimental to the team.

After FA, I will agree with that 100%. Right now, let him and the dolphins keep getting as much good press as possible. We need this to seem like an attractive place to be, especially in light of all the terrible press a month ago.

No I think he’s been great and engaging and he’s now a flat out media star, and like I said I think it’s good for our players to hear the hype.

But enough is enough Mach.. I would love to see his intellect check himself and say enough is enough, it’s time to focus on my team..

That would be cool as hell.

When you become a media star, more requests are coming his way so either he or our PR team needs to tell him no more

Valid point, but I think that time has come after the combine

TC is what, 5-6 months out? I understand what you are saying, but I also think he has to be who he is. I would imagine that once the season begins, he will not have time for these lengthy interviews.

During the Macaffeee interview, he also gave a good explanation as to why it's important for him to do these interviews.
Plus, he's new and in demand. The demand will dry up eventually and he'll be able to focus on business. It's good business to create a buzz for his team, and that's what he's doing.
He's got position coaches and scouts to evaluate players and design schemes, that's why they were hired. A head coach really doesn't "coach" all that much, at least at this time of year.

It's quotes like this that get me hyped to see this man in action...

I also see this answer as a way from deflecting from Tua, in the sense that he doesn't want to answer the question directly and put pressure on Tua. If he says, "Tua can reach BLAH BLAH level", that creates pressure for Tua to get there. Leave it vague and let Tua just do his work. It will also create pressure on McDaniel himself; MEDIA: Why didn't Tua reach BLAH BLAH level under your tutelage?" Then McDaniel has to explain why he "failed". This way, nothing solid to stick a fork in.
Did I make sense?

I’m like everyone else. But if this early part of the process has taught us anything it’s that in the field productivity is what matters.

Starts at the top and through the new coach his staff and then the players.

Until then I’m honestly ignoring all the “talk” and waiting to see the action.
