Oronde Gadsden seriously hurt his wrist Sunday night. He spent Monday night in an Emergency room a hospital source I know told me. The is a good chance that the injury may be season ending and he is reportedly out of town right now visiting a specialist, getting a second opinion and weighing his options.

Not good news his wrist turns out to be that serious.

and that's why Cris Carter's contract with HBO has a clause that he can leave if he chooses to play. He's been staying in shape and wants a ring guys. Let's bring him in, he can show Chambers a few things and open thngs up for us. Carter, Ricky, Chambers, WOW what a trio. It could get dangerous.

Is there evidence that we may really sign Cris Carter? Where are you guys reading this?

I don't believe there's any kind of evidence of it and, at this point it's likely just speculation/wishful thinking on the behalf of the 'Fin-faithful. I for one have been one of Carter's biggest detractors on this board but, if Oronde's gone for the year, I would no longer object to seeing him in a 'Fins uniform. He has some fuel left in his tank, he's in incredible shape, and he may be able to produce a' la Jerry Rice.

As far as the severity of Gadsden's injury, the article on ESPN.com alluded to the fact that it may be more serious than simply a sprained wrist. Hopefully it's not and both he and Chambers will be fine come two and a half weeks from now at the Packers game.

I guess some people heard it on the radio. I like the idea. Question is, will he get his #80 jersey #??? GO MIAMI!!

Not without greasing McKnight's palms with several thousand dollars first, I'm sure. :cooldude:

'Fins Insider Questions to Wanny About Chris Carter & Chambers Status:

Q: Are you going to pursue Cris Carter?
A: "Right now we're fine. Chambers, we're optimistic he'll play this week, but his is not a long-term deal by any means. Oronde, we're still a little bit uncertain."

Q: But if you lose Oronde is that a situation where you might decide . . .
A: "We haven't even thought that far down the road. We're just optimistic he'll be back this week."

Wanny also said he's not sure about the status of Dixon for this week.
