Take this with a grain of salt as we never know with these random inside source posts, but you never know what can happen and they sometimes come through.

Here is a thread on a fantasy football site in which a Tennessee resident posted the following

WeaponofMass said:
My, my. A new executive VP (longtime Bud buddy Steve Underwood) is moved to Nashville to oversee things and Reese is being overrulled right and left immediately. Seems Fisher and Chow wanted Collins all along but Reese held it up.

Now, there do indeed appear to be legs to the "Volek being traded" rumors. His cap is only $1mm. Now, it does appear to be true that a RB is being shopped/traded, too. That appears to be Chris Brown. I think Calico may be cut, so he could be thrown in, too.

Package deal or two deals? Who knows. Fisher did say, though, that this would not be the last roster move to bring in competition. Not sure what happens, but between trades and waiver claims I expect to see a couple of DT and OL (likely guards) brought in.

I'll keep my ears open.

Here are some other snippets from the same thread

I heard that CLE and SD were possibilities for Volek. Don't see them for Brown, though.

I think HOU would be a possibility for BOTH, but what the H do they have that the Titans would need?

MIA has a DT glut but doesn't need a QB. Maybe Brown to work with...Brown. "What can Brown do for you?"

Supposedly the Titans are in trade talks with Miami and Green Bay...about Lamont Thompson (SS).

As Andy Griffith said, "This thing just gets curiouser and curiouser."

Also, keep this in mind

This was from CBSSportsline:

According to a source close to the Titans, CBS SportsLine.com has learned that Travis Henry is expected to be the Tennessee's starting running back when they play vs. the Jets in Week 1 of the regular season. "Chris Brown is listed as the No. 1 running back in name only," the source said, citing Henry's dedication to the offseason workouts and overall ability as the main reasons why he'll start over Brown and rookie LenDale White. Henry started the Titans' third preseason game, a home loss to the Falcons. On the preseason, Henry has rushed for 53 yards on 21 carries (a 2.5 yards per carry average) with a touchdown along with three catches for 20 yards; Brown has 69 rush yards on 16 carries (4.3 average) with three passes caught for 24 yards.

If the Titans ditch Chris Brown for a song and a dance we will not be disappointed. He's a talented runner, IMO. Injury prone sure, but heck we only expect him to be our 3rd RB.

IF Chris Brown were brought in....he would be the primary backup to Ronnie while healthy. He is a far more talented ball-carrier than Morris.

Hot damn, I'd like to get Chris Brown. This guy had over 1000 yards 2 seasons ago and last season almost 900 on limited carries and had good ypc #'s . cbs sportsline even has him listed ahead of Ronnie and Cadillac for 18th best rb in the league

We'd have an all-Brown backfield. Sweet if it happens.

I don't necessarily think so. Sammy Morris has proven himself at the very least to be a better 3rd down back. If Ronnie Brown goes down, we're replacing him with a committee, not just one guy. That's the reason we want to acquire a better 3rd RB. A committee of Sammy Morris and Travis Minor was tried once before in 2004, and it didn't work out so well. Sammy did ok, but Travis sucked.

The coaches would be hoping a committee of Chris Brown and Sammy Morris would be much better.

This isn't the NBA...It's so hard to work out a deal with multiple players in the NFL due to the salary cap. This is why you see the majority of "big trades" during the offseason, when teams have more cap room.

ill take lamont thompson. id like to have tyrone calico too.

Tell the Broncos, Falcons, and Skins that. Anything is possible in any league.

There is an exception to every rule, and that just happens to be one.

Chris Brown backing up Ronnie, or maybe a guy like Tatum Bell from the Broncos. I just would like a better quality back backing up Ronnie then what we have now.

It would be nice but to tell you guys the truth I don't want to use anyone but Ronnie. They have been saying on all the shows that Saban is coach that always believs in using a 2 back system. That was all fine and well with me the rookie year and with Ricky but I don't see why you pay someone 35 million to split carries and needs someone else to come in in differant situations. Let Ronnie be our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down back. He was suppose to be great at rushing and receiving so why use 2 backs? I want Ronnie to prove he is worth the 35 mill he held out for.

I need to search for some info on this Lamont hompson character. I wouldn't mind Calico as a 5th WR either.
