Moreno provides Dolphins QB Tannehill an intriguing toy

He also had Manning as a QB. He never had to deal with a stacked box. I do love his blocking. I think he is an asset to the team.

I have no problem with the signing, but lets not forget the line he was running behind. The majority of those runs were through truck sized holes. I like his consistency and blocking but he's not going to be running for 1000 yds here or anything.
If our line produces like that Miller will be killing it. Mark it down.

You beat me to it. The only time anyone got near him in the backfield was the second play on that highlight reel. I hope our OLine is up to the task.

Flashy = overrated. I'll take a guy with with patience and good vision that runs hard and gets you yards when you need them over a highlight reel anyday. Solid blocker and receiver too. What's not to like? Moreno and Miller should actually compliment each other nicely.

His blocking and catching out of the backfield was needed so badly last year.

You don't realize how important that is until you dont have it. It's like giving your qb 2 safety outlets. We had no one last year that understood those facets of the game and were able to do it and tannehill suffered because of it.

He was running behind Denver's very good O line but over 200 yards on the Pats D is impressive regardless.
Lots of yards after the first contact which is something our backs did not do last year.

You mean that Pats D that was missing their biggest run stuffer Vince Wilfork, along with their top LB Jared Mayo, with their top 3 Cornerbacks listed as questionable?

It's a rare, rare playoff game that Belicheat doesn't list at least three crucial players are questionable.

And they all miraculously play without impingement. Amazing how that happens.

He should definitely be an asset...but more importantly I hope Lazor can draw some plays up to get him and miller quick hits with space. If you look at the other QBs around the league..one thing most have in common is they get yards out of their RBs..that's something we have missed

Still, not sure how much they'd be relied on to stop the run anyway. Point is, not having wilfork or mayo played a big role in moreno's 200 yard game

Take it for what its worth but Miller had almost identical receiving numbers as Adrian Peterson. 26 catches and was targeted 35 times. 170 yards for a 6.5 avg.

While Peterson was - 29 catches at 39 targets for 171 yards at an avg. of 5.9
exactly the point the other poster was making. Peterson isn't the best catching the ball out the backfield

I don't know, I don't pay much attention to Peterson's receiving abilities. I figured I would fare Miller to the best back in the NFL because that's how we roll around here when making comparisons.

Knowshon carried the ball 241 times last year, and 192 of those runs were against six men in the box or fewer. That's nearly 80% percent of his carries. Anyone who's expecting a repeat of last year's performance is going to be sorely disappointed.

Hopefully that Moreno will help out Ryan. Need to have also good WR's as well!

Miller is more talented but Moreno is more solid and better all around player, this is a great RB tandem, I´m excited about our offense.
