Moreno says he's still 4 weeks away from returning

Dislocations are bad injured and given the abuse that an elbow of a running back takes in the NFL it is honestly better to be safe. We don't have a **** load of cash tied up in Moreno and ironically this plays into Miami's favor to re-sign him next year for another bargain contract.

Running back (because of improved line play, Miami leads the league in advanced stats in run blocking) hasn't been an issue yet, let Miller and Co. shoulder the load until Moreno is able to play at 100%.

If Miller and DT continue to play well (without mistakes), I don't see this hurting us vs GB and Jax with bad D's on the run. Da Bears, in Chicago, could be a different story.

That sucks! We should have IR'd him with designation to return.

Each of the last two days, Moreno told different reporters from two different newspapers he will miss another month. One other newspaper (which does a good job covering the Dolphins) reported those quotes.

When Moreno told me that yesterday, I concluded his tongue was planted firmly in cheek for several reasons: 1) A team official who heard the exchange believed he was messing around. 2) He insisted he was in horrible pain, which clearly isn't the case. 3) He had told reporters previously that he didn't want to discuss a timetable.

So what's the truth here? Moreno originally told at least one teammate he hoped to return for the Oct. 12 Green Bay game. But since that time, a Dolphins front-office official has told others that they expect Moreno to possible miss possibly a couple more weeks. The Dolphins remain hopeful he will return at some point in October.

I would not have said this in the preseason but this is a devastating injury for us, and not unlike losing Keller last year. Moreno brought some much needed passion and was playing like he had a giant chip on his shoulder. And not only that but his biggest strength was supposed to be pass protection. Huge loss and out of everybody missing he's easily the biggest loss of them all for me.

Yea, but will we be smart enough to acquire it.

Still a long season and things have to play out. Tannehill still has to show some consistency to be thought of as the long term answer at QB IMO. If he continues to be inconsistent then I think we have to go QB in the draft...as bad as this QB class is you probably have to grab one in the 2nd or 3rd round. In a perfect world Tannehill builds on his performance against the Raiders and continues to improve under Lazor's tutelage. We can then go RB, MLB, OG in the draft...unless Amari Cooper is there for us in the 1st...I'd freakin take him over everyone in a heartbeat. That's a playmaking, elite WR that we haven't had here since an older Irving Fryar was catching passes from Dan Marino...don't see him getting out of the top 10 though. So maybe someone like Mike Davis falls to us, who's instinctive, great vision, excellent cutback ability and can run with power and through tackles, then we get lucky and get Kendricks from UCLA to play MLB in the 2nd and then get the best OG available in the 3rd or 4th round.

He is trolling all of you.
He may be back after the bye. if not its only 2 more games. I would rather have him 100% for the second half than rush back one or 2 games early.
Miller is improved and Williams can ball, even Danielle looks better with thos o-line/ scheme
