This should be the Dolphins next HC Look at all he has done. He is the OFF. Minded Coach we have been searching for While at SF,DET, and PHIL the OFF. was one of the top in the nfl. A little west coast is what we need in the afc east. The Detroit job was his only downfall. Was that his fault or Detroits.

I'd tend to agree with the no here. I think he'll eventually get his shot, but I'd far rather go with Rivera and then steal somebody like Pat Shurmur to implement the Philadelphia variant of the west coast offense. Here is Shurmur's resume:

He has coached QBs, TEs, OL, and special teams.

The only downside to Shurmur if you ask me is that he's going to pull 3 years as an OC for some lucky team before getting his own shot at being coach. I'm okay with that, though. He'll hopefully leave behind somebody equally talented to carry on his work.

Mohrinweg and Schottenheimer were my two favorite roll of the dice type of selections but if we're looking for more of a sure bet I think you have to go with the more established candidates

any coach who wins the toss in overtime and rather kick the ball cause of the wind at there back i say defintey no to !!!!

Morn = good OC, bad HC. Review D'troit '01 and '02 season fpr details. To his defense though it did not help having Matt Millen as your boss. There are better options some already interviewed.

In answer to your question it was his FAULT!!!!!!!! Morhenwig is the worst coach that ever taught the game. Since wayne intends to give full power to his head coach under his one voice program. I can see it now we hire Marty we immediatly get a resounding big fat F in the draft. Then we tank in the reg season and go oh say 2 and 14 so now we need another voice right? So now we go out and get the recently fired Matt millen from detroit so we can improve our talent base, after all under the fine tuteledge of Marty Farty were bound to win it all now right. this thread had better be a Joke because if you believe in marty morenwig your age is showing ,wake up virginia ,:tantrum: there is no santa claus.:fire:

Just say no. He lost control of his players because he never instilled discipline in them. That is not what you want in a HC.

I don't really think you can blame Marty for a discipline problem that Mooch was just as powerless to stop. As far as I'm concerned, the problem with the Millen era in Detroit begins and quite possibly ends with Matt. That doesn't mean that Mornhinweg is the best candidate for this job, though. You do have to question is judgment at least to the extent that he took the Lions job.

Thank you Mrs. Mohrinweg, but we've run out of applications.

Millen may be a bad talent evaluator but it's up to the head coach to atleast instill discipline. Mariucci had the same problem in SF. Tried to be too much of players coach and in some ways is responsible for Terrell Owens transformation into T.O. At the first sign of him becoming a problem, he should have did what Gruden to K. Johnson and sat him down.

When you're a coach who works for a GM, you don't have the power to do enough to the players to blame either coach SM or coach MM for the problem in Detroit. They could have posibly demoted the bad apples, but they're still right there in the locker room. Who brought them there? Millen. Who kept them there? Millen. That's why I put it all at his door.
