Noticed Sammy Morris is now listed on the Dolphins official team website as the first team running back...may be some indication as to how he is viewed by the coaching staff at this point as compared to Gordon and Minor
 
That is kinda surprising, but I like Morris and liked how hard he ran for us last year. He was also pretty good at getting the ball in the endzone with his leaps. It has seemed like Morris has been overlooked completely so far, and even though he is not skilled enough to be a prime time running back, he is a solid contributer who averaged 4 ypc.
 
Sammy is the kind of back every coach in the NFL wants on their team...solid, can contribute in a variety of ways (halfback, fullback, third down back) and is one of the best special teams players in the NFL...an all around solid contributor. He may never get the limelight but you need veteran guys like him on your team...a real class act.
 
he's better than people give him credit for
 
I honestly think this is Saban's way of saying to Ricky...."You're not going to be given your old spot....you have to beat the non-competition (aside from Minor :lol:...ma homey) to regain it). BTW...i'm saying that Minor is my homey...not Saban's. Let it be known. :chuckle:

Good lord people, how many times does Saban have to say that the depth chart means nothing right now? Hasn't he said numerous times that those who didn't start the first game would start the second game? Why is this so hard to understand??
