Mort: Dolphins eliminated from Manning sweepstakes

Brandon Lyodd and Dallas Clark would look great in aqua and orange...let's get-r-done Ross.

Peyton's an all-time great, a good guy and an asset to any team. Sorry we're not getting him.

So long as he's not competing against us, I'd like to see him do well and no one really wishes anything less. However, I'd admit that deep down, should he turn out to be a shell of what we expected, or suffers an injury "relapse" I'd probably breath the same kind of sigh of relief I did when Fisher rejected us and then hired Shotty, muttering: "there but for the grace of god go us."

This could, COULD be a screen where Manning wants to be in Miami, but is driving up the price, and he eventually gets here. And Ross calls his bluff-brings Flynn for a visit. Just a athought.

This......I could totally see that as a possibility

Although I don't believe this report, the rotoworld posting on it says it all about the state of this organization. Someone should find that and post it since I'm on my phone and can't.

Appearing on NFL32 Thursday, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported the Broncos, Titans, and Cardinals remain alive for free agent Peyton Manning.

"You notice we did not mention the Miami Dolphins," added Mort. This has been our suspicion since early in the week. Having fallen for Lucy's pulled-ball trick once again, the Charlie Brown-level Dolphins are turning their attention to Matt Flynn. While NFL insiders continue to place the Broncos and Titans atop the list, it's worth noting the Cardinals have maintained a silent confidence since last weekend.

Did you eat paint chips when you were a kid??? Did Manning say this himself????

No.

That's why he put the word "MORT" in front of it.

You see, when someone does that, it means they're not claiming it as their own information. They're attributing it to someone else.

Ahh, umm, ok, yeah......and how many times did someone post about Mort saying Manning is not coming here? Thanks genius

*Blank stare*

You were asking the OP if he ate paint chips, and asking if Manning said it himself, when it was made astonishingly clear that Mort said it.

Just trying to help you out here, Sherlock.

I guess I have to spell it out for you......
How many times are we going to see the same posts over and over and over and over and over and over again about "M-O-R-T" saying we are not in the running for Manning, we are out of the race for Manning, we are out of the Manning sweepstakes, we have no shot at Manning Etc Etc Etc Etc Etc

When

In actuality

Manning has not said it himself

See, if you'd led off with that instead of phrasing your question poorly and being insulting, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Maybe something like, "Hey, I'm tired of these Mort reports! Could you stop posting about them? I mean, I know he's the SAME guy that actually broke the story about Manning being released in the first place, and this is pretty much the first time that he's actually reported the chase being down to three teams rather than four, but he's HINTED at it! A lot! AND I DON'T LIKE IT! AND DON'T EAT PAINT!"

See? That's much more clear.

(By the way, the 'Sherlock' crack is usually reserved for someone trying to solve a mystery...someone who's asking questions...about paint chips and stuff. I didn't actually ASK any questions, but...oh, never mind.)
