I was just listening to mortenson on NFL live and he said kravitz is wrong and manning does not have a "noodle arm". He said Manning has made significant progress and is throwing the ball very hard, he might of had a noodle arm a month ago but his arm is getting stronger. Mort said he spoke to somebody who saw manning throw this morning and manning was throwing the ball really well and making all the throws. He also said that Manning has been in constant contact with Chris Weinke who had the same neck surgery his sophomore season at Florida State and came back for his Junior season and brought FSU to the championship, weinke has been telling Manning to be patient and his arm strength will comeback, just figured I would share the info.

If this is true why hasn't Manning had a camera crew filming him throwing the ball, even in an informal session?

Until I see video I'm going to continue to assume he isn't throwing the ball very well.

If true that is an upside, Nerve damage is a beast...either it comes back or it doesn't :/ If Manning can play and throw that ball without being able to physically feel it, I would be astonished. Its like walking on a permanently sleeping leg.

Why do we care at this point, our coaches/scouts will have to see him throw before any kind of offer is made. Even Ireland wouldn't sign a noodle armed Manning

Mort, formerly Parcells' self-preservation disinformation spin agent and source of countless other erroneous tidbits.

If push comes to shove, I'll go with the long-standing and entrenched pillar of Indy sports reporting instead. :idk:

please i hope this is true, i want manning so badly.

obviously the main reason being that if healthy, or even 90 percent, hes a top qb in the nfl and will make us instantly superbowl contenders, and another reason, then we wont sign flynn.

please let this be true, and please ross pay this man what he wants, he will bring you a superbowl if healthy.

Mort is ridiculous as a reporter. More than half his info is bogus. I trust Kravitz at this point.

would you go with him over Bill Polian? he was on sirius nfl radio this afternoon and he said the report is false and he talked to manning ten days ago and things were progrssing well. he could make the throws, but his velocity was weaker throwing passed 25 yards. but he was getting better every day.

Why does the media ALWAYS play both sides of the story? One guy says one thing, then the other guy immediately says the opposite. Its a giant amorphous blob of misinformation.

For who to watch? Internet forum GM's?

For everyone. At minimum I want a first hand report. Everything so far has been some version of "I talked to someone who watched him throw."

He is still under contract with the Colts why would everyone be entitled to anything he is doing?

Why would anyone take the Chris Weinke case to say anything about Peyton Manning?

As it happens, coincidence of coincidences, I just got done watching some old Weinke games just for the hell of it. He was never the thrower that Peyton Manning was. Manning could throw more crisp passes while sleep walking.

If I'm a concert pianist and I broke my hand, had to have surgery on it, are you going to predict that I'll be playing Stravinsky at Symphony Hall in no time because you're pretty good at playing Chopsticks, and you broke your hand and had the same surgery, and were back to playing Chopsticks again within the year? I'm supposed to find that reassuring?

Oh but I'm certain Chris Weinke assured Peyton very strongly that he will be throwing strong, crisp passes again in no time...just like the strong, crisp passes that Weinke (never) threw.

It's in Peyton's best interest to show that he's throwing well... if he can. The only reason to not show how he's throwing is if he's not throwing well.
