Mort: Kravitz is wrong, Manning throwing the ball very hard

Mort said he spoke to somebody who saw manning throw this morning and manning was throwing the ball really well and making all the throws.

So mort is reporting something that he heard from "someone"?

I'm pretty sure the only people Watching Manning throw are in camp manning, meaning whoever has seen him throw is on his side and only going to paint pictures that are rosy...

These "reporters" suck.

If this is true why hasn't Manning had a camera crew filming him throwing the ball, even in an informal session?

Until I see video I'm going to continue to assume he isn't throwing the ball very well.

Because he is still employed by the Colts. Right now they are the only one's that matter. I'm sure they are watching his progress. He can't publicly broadcast anything, he is still the Colt's QB. He hasn't been released so why would the Colt's allow him to broadcast himself.

Turns out this isn't a police state, buddy. Manning can film himself throwing the football if he wants to.

I bet Manning is taking mental notes on every "media" source that's reporting false information and payback will be fun for him- especially when those same clowns are asking him questions at his next Superbowl start!

Since the NFL Combine is in Indy....maybe Peyton could show up there to throw some passes to wide receivers who were invited to the Combine. It would be nice to see what Peyton could do before he becomes a free agent. I can't see Irsay keeping Manning, or Manning wanting to stay in Indy at this point.

The injuries are not even remotely comparable. Not even close.

Hindsight is 20/20, but at the time with the knowledge available back in '06 there were a lot of people who thought brees was done for. The injuries themselves are not comparable you are correct, but the talk of them being career ending are very similar.

Yeah, and what's he going to do? Post it on you tube...GET REAL!!!! HE IS STILL A COLT and might wind up staying a Colt. If and when he is released he can do what he wants. Until then there is no reason to do anything HE IS STILL EMPLOYED.

It's in Peyton's best interest to show that he's throwing well... if he can. The only reason to not show how he's throwing is if he's not throwing well.

Yes it is in his best interest to show the COLTS, WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? He has 28 mil riding on his arm, right now the ONLY one who matters is Isray and his colts. Why the hell would you care about any one else at this point. I'm sure he would like to stay a Colt and collect his money. Yes it will be in his best interest to prove to everyone he can throw IF and when he is released. I don't believe any of these reporters, half of them don't know what they are talking about and the other half are full of s**t! I'll wait and see what happens, maybe he'll be released & maybe he won't. Until then he is a Colt. End of story

If you don't think teams negotiate with players before they're released then you're naive. And if your whole point is a "wait and see" then why are you even posting about it? Why are you making grand assumptions when you admit you don't know what you're talking about?

You do know Manning and Tom Condon leaked the story about him being medically cleared to play, right? You do realize why they would do that, right? You know that someone who would do that would show video proof of him being ready to play if he was in fact ready to play, right?

Or maybe not. Maybe you need to wait to see it written, well... I don't know where. I'm sure when Manning is released it will come as a huge shock to you... assuming you even believe it when it's reported.

I don't trust what anyone is saying about Manning at this point. In due time our FO will make a choice one way or the other and we'll have to live with it. I just hope they make the choice base on what Manning can really do and not on what he's done in the past.

Ozzy rules!!

Don't forget just like how the Chargers also knew Brees was done too.

The differece is that Brees was about 10 years younger than Peyton. Also, the Chargers didn't allow Brees to walk away because of his injury. Brees was done in SD as soon as the Chargers drafted Eli Manning. Whether it was Eli or Rivers, they were committed to a new QB.

Again, since Mort has been Parcells' inside toady as well as that of some other prominent figures deployed to favorably homogenize or revise history through well-timed "leaks" I don't doubt that this has Condon's handwriting all over it. As such, I'm inclined toward skepticism. :idk:

I'm not sure if contractually he's allowed to do it, however, in particular if he's rehabbing at Colts facilities. In any case, to be more precise, it is in Peyton's best interests to show that he's throwing as well as he used to throw. He might be throwing well, but if he can get better, he does well to stay dark.

That being said, I don't believe a word any of those big pay-per-story hotshots say about Manning. We'll find out soon enough.
