mortreportI actually struggled with Dolphins @ Falcons; took Atlanta but Miami will have some surprises; how will young defense react?

So, it continues once again we are the underdogs. Almost all these so called media gurus have now picked us to lose. I hope our team has taken noticed of this and once again prove all these critiques wrong.

we were both 11-5 last year, and we're in their house... us not being picked is not us being hated on... everyone is saying it'll be a tough game, but for us to be an underdog is not some big shock

This team takes notice of the lack of respect they don't get. You say it has nothing to do with us being hated on. I bet you they will have us losing the next two games even if we win Sunday.

Doesn't Mort live in Atlanta?

I'm a dolphan & I'm pretty confident we will come out victorious on Sunday, but realistically anyone who watches pro football and is not a homer, would have to admit that the Falcons are going to be the favorites in this game.

I'd agree with that. Its going to be difficult for any team to try go into the Georgia Dome and beat a team who can beat you by rushing or passing the ball.

Its a tough game to call, the fact the Falcons are at home is probably why most people are favouring them.

With the money spent up front we should be able to play cram ball with Atlanta which should open up the passing game. On defense we need to get them one dimensional as early as possible. Sounds crazy but it seems like rushing the passer will be the strength of the Miami defense and those hard rushing OLB's (Porter and Taylor) could get burned in the running game. If we can get up and take Turner out of the game we will be better off. Tough challenge but if we can't run on Atlanta with all of the money we have in the new offensive line I will be dissapointed, week 1 or not.

No, it's another supertanker of HATORADE, just like the one we got at the start of last season. The dino-media, lead by the 4-letter is still reeling from the "shock" of the annointed Pats not going undefeated in '07.

Now pile-on the Phins knocking them off their AFC East throne in '08 and they're braking out HATORADE firehoses.

Did you mean 'breaking out'?

Cuz if dey iz braking dem out dat means they aren't coming out...

Starting to wonder just how much we will miss Matt Roth for this game.

We aren't underdogs b/c Mort or any other media person says the team is. Who said they got the right to choose who is favored?

Look at their offensive production last year with Ryan and Turner each doing so great, and now they added Gonzalez and it's a home game for them.

I think we will win, but the Falcons are going to be the favorites it should be obvious. Lets see how many of the idi0ts in the local media pick the Falcons. I'll bet at least half of the Herald guys will pick the falcons.
