Dont know if any of you saw Mort on ESPN this morning around 8:30, but they were talking about Manning, and he mentioned that he was throwing the ball really well.. Thats all the info there was tho, but I guess its better then nothing..

i would take a 90% healthy manning.... with some solid pieces around him.

80%+ today should bring a 100% healthy Manning come summertime. Go get him and bring a Championship to South Beach baby!! Just noticed this years SB is in New Orleans...the team his Dad played for. The team that beat him in the SB. The place where he grew up...So many story lines, so much motivation for this guy...A man can dream!!

Question if he is throwing the ball so well and is looking really good. Why would he not show anybody how good he looks .It would help in marketing himself to other teams if and when he is released.

He is still under contract with the Colts. Doubt he wants to post on Youtube for all to see.

Mort is a mouthpiece for the Mannings. Notice how the people who are saying that Manning is throwing well are his agent, his friends, or people who are mouthpieces for the Manning family. The only report that was put out there that had anything specific was Mike Lombardi's who stated 3 weeks ago that Peyton could not throw to his left and had no velocity on his throws.

I'm glad to hear Manning is making strides. If he can help us, and I hope we are in the position to decide that, then welcome to Miami!

Vegas has us as the favorites for Peyton, they're usually right. Give him 5 more months to recover and toss in Reggie Wayne and we got a championship caliber team. Check out this video from Bleacher Report of Mort hyping up the Fins, he comes on at 5:18.

Mort also reporting Jeff Fisher to the Dolphins. But seriously, good for Peyton. I hope he beats the odds and comes back strong.

So then Peyton Manning's using people to send out false reports about him throwing well, while in fact, he can't, so that he can come back and make a fool of himself? I guess he's doing this to make sure he is on a team, even if he's not able to play anymore? Is this just about money? :err:

And that wasn't the only specific report. There was a report saying that he could go through the whole route tree, however, if I remember correctly, that he couldn't pass well past 25 yards. Came out a little bit after the report by Lombardi.

Beat me to it. Well done.

If our team does decide to go after Manning, they aren't going to be relying on reports put out by journalists being fed information by Manning's agent or from Indy beat writers. They're going to conduct their own evaluation. Let's just hope that regardless of Manning's viability, the team doctors are accurate.

The reports are to make you think he will be better, not that he is better. specifics are not needed. He just needs you to believe. And it works, people saying things after hearing reports like he should be good by summer. Just what he wants. A guy practicing and getting reported on, that was great, will get the doubters of his back. I'm only into Payton if they are developing the next QB at the same time. I can easily see the team making moves due to payton, that they would not make otherwise and then it all fails. I sure hope they due their million dollar due diligence.
