I'm guessing it is, given what Tunsil will earn. Somebody might be able to confirm or deny. It's certainly up there.

3 Miami first round picks and a second or third rounder to boot, out of 5 spots.

That's a huge overall commitment to an area of the field that's been a weakness (not to mention the second and third rounders in Thomas and Douglas who probably won's start)

BOTTOM LINE - This o-line better be awesome next season. Keep our expensive QB upright, justify the salaries, justify the draft picks, improve our terrible 3rd down conversion rate.....

I'm not calling it a bad pick. In fact, I think the Tannenbaum critics should be eating humble pie. But the pressure is on this o-line, Gase and the Offensive coaches.

Not one single excuse will be acceptable in 2016-17. Not one.

What expensive qb?

We got lucky and a good player at a position of weakness fell in our lap, expensive line or not, we had no choice but to do this deal

The pressure is on the whole friggin team.

That's what you took out of my post?!

Contrary Nordie!!!!

I don't think it's anywhere near the top paid o-lines in history. James, Tunsil, Douglas and Turner are on rookie deals. Pouncey and Albert are on elite level contracts, but the others are not crazy deals.

I don't necessarily think the price will be all that bad in a year or two. Albert will be gone and Tunsil won't be signing for a ton until he signs his second contract if he produces.

But ya, this line better produce....no excuses now!

In picks and money, as a combination, it's gotta be up there.

Jeezus, I hope we have it nailed down now.

Pouncey was a first rounder
James was a first rounder
Tunsil is a first rounder
Albert was a first rounder

Meant to type 3 but hit 2. I didn't count Albert as we didn't use a pick on him.

Was already that last season.

The new tally since 2011:

3 First round picks (3 top 20 picks)
1 Second round pick
2 Third round picks
1 Fourth Round pick
Top 5 LT in Free Agency (former top 15 pick)

That is a "crazy" amount of resources on this offensive line in 5 years . . . and leads to more than just "not enough talent". That is bad coaching, bad schemes, bad fits, etc.

Look at Dallas

T. Smith (9th overall)
Zach Martin (16th overall)
Travis Frederick(31st overall)
L. Collins(1st round grade, fell to UDFA to murder case(bogus))
Doug Free(4th round*Weak link)

Best in the league.

Sadly, the Dolphins haven't had the same production out of their guys so far.

James is an ok RT, Pouncey could be better, but he is a good center.

Tunsil has the chance to be a top 5 LT.

It was the correct pick. I would guess that Albert and Pouncey won't be here in 2017, so it may look pricey this year but next year will be a different story.

The problem was coaching. I don't mind building a good O-line and actually protecting the QB and creating holes for the RB. Tunsil was too good of value at 13 to pass on.
