What would be your most memorable game(s) by the decade?

Here's mine..........

1960's
1966 vs Oakland
Even though it's a lost, it's the start of something special.
1966 vs Denver
1st win in team history.

1970's
1972 Super Bowl 7
Only team to go unbeaten and untied in NFL history.
1978 @ Houston
One of the greatest games ever. Earl Campbell was unhuman that night.
Still remember the crowd in Houston and thier "Luv Ya Blue"

1980's
1981 vs San Diego (playoffs)
Every Dolphin fan knowns about this game.
1985 vs Chicago
Ghosts of the '72 season were at the Orange Bowl that night.

1990's
1994 vs Kansas City (playoffs)
Marino vs Montana WOW!

2000's
2004 vs New England
A team that had nothing to play for beats the defending and future Super Bowl champions

These are just my opinions

2000's....last years comeback win against the Barfolo Bills on Chambers end zone catch to end the game.

1990's....Dan Marino beating the NY Jets on the fake spike (I think that was in the 90's?). :D

1980's.....1981 playoff game against the Chargers...we lost it but it was the best game I have ever seen.

1970's.....Our SB wins against the Redskins and the Vikings.

1960's......Game One....first play in the history of the Dolphins franchise we run the kick back for a TD.....it's been great ever since.....Dolphins have best winnning percentage of all-time in the NFL at .599 %.

I agree , that san diego game may be the best game ever , also I remember a game played in snow , vs dallas ? or chicago ..which was huge we won that one . another nice one was that oakland game in wich fiedler dived to the end zone in the last minute . now i remember a monster game in which marino and bledsoe destroyed every passing stat that one was i beleive a 38-35 score , we won , it was a real passing show .

Oh man, I was at the playoff game against San Diego, unforgettable. I think we should also include as a second choice for the '80's, '85 home game against the Jets. We were down 14-10 there were only seconds to play and we were deep in our own territory. The play-by-play: Marino sets back to pass, he's got a man deep! DUPERRRRR!!!! Mark Duper has returned to the Dolphins and he is super! Final score Miami 21, NY 14.

Since I'm only 18 and have only been a Fin fan for 2 decades, I'm going to go by year.

2005- Tie between opening day win vs. Denver and comeback against Buffalo. No one gave us a shot against the Broncos and we burried them.

2004- New England game. A team that has only 2 wins beats a 12 win team. Showed tremendous character and a great attitude of this organization.

2003- Thanksgiving Day classic against Dallas. Chris Chambers 3 TD day and silenced all the critics of him and the Dolphins. What a great day that was!

2002- Ricky Williams runs for 200 yards for the second straight week against Chicago.

2001- Game in Denver when Fiedler let us to the comeback win with a broken thumb.

2000- Playoff game against Indianapolis when Lamar Smith carried it 40 times for 200+ yards including the game winner in OT.

1981 vs San Diego (playoffs)
Every Dolphin fan knowns about this game.
Yep. Remember it well - watching this on TV, like 2 years before I first moved to South Florida and became a Dolfan!!

This game is still considered, not only a great Dolphin game but maybe the Greatest NFL Playoff Game of All Time. LINK below ...I am trying to remember if Griese, or Woodley played... but Don Strock was the QB who led Miami's comback down 24 -zip.... amazing game by Strock. Kellen Winslow what a performance. I remember Bob Kuechenberg calling Winslow a wuss for being helped off the field. Anybody who can't walk off the field on their own 2 feet shouldnt be playing :D

WHAT????, 2003 thanksgiving classic game vs. Dallas!!!

Hello mucker. Only supported the Fins since the early 80's, so I would say that the;

80's game must be the either the AFC Championship games against the Jets and the Steelers, or the Bears game.

90's game for me was the play off game against the Chargers.

Was it 2002 when in Dan's penultimate game we beat the Seahawks. These would be my choices

Two others to mention would be the Bills game where L Oliver ran an INT back 100 yards, and the "fake spike" game.

There ya go! I remember watching that, I can't believe I forgot it. Especially since one of my best friends is a Cowboys fan he was telling me how Dallas was going to smash us. Then we just crushed them. That was a great day and I'll edit it right away.

I was watching that game today to see if there were any similarities with Ronnie Browns style. Both have speed and power but Earl also added slash to his repertoire.

I think the Christmas playoff game against the KC in 1971 belongs in that list.Still considered to be the longest NFL game ever played it was a turning point in Dolphin franchise history. After that game the Dolphins never looked back and had 3 consecutive SB appearances.

Must have been an amazing play if they awarded us 11 points for it.

Yeah, the spike!

I have all four of your games from 70's to present! Agreed! I was too young (not too stoned) to remember the 60's. :cooldude:

80's -Chargers game For SURE!!!! total nailbiter. I hated/respected Fouts
-85- Bears a Must
- Fake Spike

90's - Dan's Achiles comeback against New England 5TDs?
