Seeing Dan Marino recently on TV has been making me depressed. Combined with his comparisons to Peyton Manning, which there are plenty, I am getting a bad taste in my mouth instead of a warm feeling. Everytime I see Marino now, all I can think about is how bad I want someone to replace him. It's getting rediculous.

1983-1999 Marino
2000-2006 NO ONE

I thought the post-Marino era was going to be a year or two, but its turning into an actual era. So i post this question, what is your most memorable moment from the 2000-2005 seasons?

I cant decide, so Ill post a few to get this started.

Random order:
1. Patrick Surtain intercepting a Rich Gannon (MVP) pass intended for Jerry Rice to finish off the Raiders and be the last team to beat them till the Bucs steal our gameplan and stomp them in the SB.
2. Ricky runs wild on the Bills and Bears and into the record books as one of the only players to ever rush for 200+ yards in consecutive games. He also set personal best's in terms of yards in a game and his longest TD run.
3. Miami is 7-1 and plays 7-1 Tennessee on Sunday night football. Zach Thomas picks off Steve McNair on the first play of the second half and runs it back and does a flip into the endzone.
4. Lamar Smith runs all over the Colts and Miami beats the Colts in overtime for Miami's only playoff win since Marino retired.
5. Miami routes Denver in the season opener in a game of total domination on both sides of the ball, the game is capped with Jason Taylor running back a sack-fumble by Jake Plummer 85 yards for the game ending TD.
6. Jay Fielder, Chris Chambers, Ricky Williams, and Miami's Defense completely destroy the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving in 2003. Fiedler and Chambers connect for 3 TDs, Ricky runs for 100 yards, and the defense got 3 INTs and a sack-fumble by AO and JT for a TD.
7. This is a 4-pack of moments: Four greatest comebacks - 1. Fiedler mounts a game winning drive with about :45 in 2002 vs the Denver Broncos capped by a game winning 53 yard kick from Mare that would have been good from 70 yards. 2. Fiedler punts Brian Griese to the sideline and leads Miami back from a 13 point defecit against the Redskins in 2003, Ricky and Gadsden get equal credit. 3. AJ Feeley brings Miami back against the eventual 2004 Champion New England Patriots with a 4th down TD to Derrius "I made a play!" Thompson to be one of only 2 teams to beat the Pats. 4. Sage Rosenfels steps in for Gus Ferotte and leads a 21 point fourth quarter to overcome a 20 point defecit to the Bills, Chambers had 15 catches for 230+ yards and the game-ending/winning TD reception on 4th down.

Please feel free to add some more, I couldn't name them all.

don't forget, in that comeback against the Broncos in 2002, we lost Fiedler and Chambers due to injury, but it was worth it. I hate Denver!

my biggest moment was beating the pats in 2004 just because we were so ****ty and the team never gave up. winning that game felt like winning a super bowl if you ask me cuz i was talkin **** for weeks

Because all my extended family are Bills Homers. they were calling me on the phone and harassing me, they were yelling stuff at me through my kitchen window. Some of my wifes cousins who I hadnt talked to in months were phoning me to mock me. When that last TD went in and the extra point went through the uprights I began a slow but methodical phone call barage on all those people. It is funny how people are at home, but not answering after the game was over.

I really do hate most of them.

I remember the Miami San Diego game that had to be relocated to Arizona best mainly because I got to go there. For just a brief moment, it looked like our QB issues had been resolved and Brian was ready to covet his father's former throne. Except that was lost later in the season when Wade Smith learned how to block worse than paper and Rick decided to surrender a 2nd rounder for Griese's replacement.

Not to state the obvious...

but Wannstedt resigning was a fairly memorable moment for me. Our long team nightmare was over.

I am going to have to go with the filed goal shootout win against Denver. I was born and raised a Dolphins fan and I have been religious about it since I attended the Fake Spike game in 94; but right before Mare kicked the game winning 53 yarder I thought to myself, "oh yeah, this is for life, Marino or not".

#3 is inaccurate. The Zach INT TD was opening day 2001, the game in 99 was Sam's 3 picks of McNair.

4 me #1 is the pats comeback last year and #2 is the bills comeback this year
