Usually the "It's only been [insert number of games here] games! It's a long (not really) season!" threads don't pop up until Wednesday. Tuesdays are reserved for "well, we really didn't play that bad, guys." threads.

True but usually the "the season's over fire everyone" threads don't pop up until we are more than one game out of a tie for first in the division and certainly not after only playing three games :idk:

While I understand those that are down and out, the original post DOES have a point. This season is still salvageable. Didn't the 2004 Pats (or was it 01?) start the season out 0-4 and then turn it around and win the Super Bowl? I know everyone is going to **** on this fact but it's true. We are only THREE weeks into the season. We can still make the playoffs.

I can understand that sentiment. But we are the Miami Dolphins, or as one libby calls us the LOLPHINS!!
what in our history recently makes anyone think we will be good?
Also, the reason we are so doom and gloom is simple-- We know we have to win these early games against bad teams at home bc we will fold down the stretch, and our sched gets harder.

The fire everyone threads are just a continuation from last year, as is the terrible play by certain players. But, I suppose there is no reason not to hope/pray/sacrifice to the gods that Philbin will learn how to coach, Tannehill will learn how to play QB, the defense will learn how to tackle, special teams will learn how to cover a kick, etc. within the next couple of weeks...

You know we hear that from some of you every year, right? For some of us, it has become very clear that this team is not well coached nor well led. That isn't going to change under the current regime.

i'm surprised at your reaction Shula. You are obviously a long time fan and good poster. I certainly understand the disappointment as i feel the same way but sounding the death nole for the team this early? Give it a few weeks then do that but after 3 games ? Chill my friend and let it play out.

We all have the hopes of finishing strong..but..how does Pouncey or Moreno help Philbin coach better, or Ryan play better? Did you see how many starters KC had out last weekend? Like 8 I think.
A lot of us are just tired of the same issues not being fixed.

I hear you loud and clear and agree as that is my outlook as well. More or less, I'm just letting my frustrations play out this week in cynical unfounded banter. And to be honest, it's not as fun as I thought it would be and looking forward to approaching things in a more rational manner very soon.

That is exactly what I thought when I read the OP. This is a team that has been to the playoffs one time in a decade, has one of the worst head coaches in the league, below average QB and has started the season 1-2 playing 2 very bad teams, and someone thinks we are going to win the division?? I agree, there are some VERY small minds around here.

It's week 3. Many injuries, suspensions, etc. a new offense.

Many reasons why this team will be a much better team in the second half of the season.

It's a looooooong season boys, settle down!

The Bills are a fraud and the Pats are not who they thought they were.

Book it. This team wins the division.

Talk is cheap, but even you don't believe it and you know it. If that isn't just lip service I got $100 I can throw in to see if you are willing to back up your claims. I can go a lot higher but I thought I would leave the door open to allow other to cash in on your claims as well. :idk:
