Everybody on here tends to hype up certain players on the team who are not that great of players and tend to just be fan favorites. Who do you feel is the most overrated player on the squad?

Personally, I think JT is the most overhyped Fin. I think he's a great player, just not what people make him out to be.

There is no such thing as an over rated Dolphin. They are all great.:D

Teams litterally gameplan around him I dont think he's over rated  but its your opinion so its cool

personally Id say......Will Poole

He has barely played and we seem to be penciling him in as a pro bowler every year....granted when he played he did play well

over rated

I think Matt Roth is the most over rated dolphin. He has shown little so far.

Reluctantly, my vote would go to Randy McMichael. He has been "potentially" an all-pro for years now. How long will we go on potential alone? He's solid but not the dominating player he is often made out to be. Had you asked me this question last year my answer would have been Chris Chambers but he stepped up. Maybe this will be McMichael's year but for now I am disappointed.

You are entitled to your opinion and yes as a second round pick the expectations are high, but picking a guy who couldn't beat out Kevin Carter in his rookie year is pretty harsh!

I would hate to say this, but I feel wes walker is as well. Its going to be interesting to see the battle in training camp, but at his size and prior injury he may get beat out by the likes of Hagan, Cambell, Aromashudo and even , dare I say, Vick. The last 3 are punt and kick returners in my eyes and if Shyrandola Mitchel is healthy and makes the squad, so can he. Wes is going to have to step it up and be outstanding to win a job this year.

My thoughts exactly. I would have said Chambers last year, but it's definitely McMike now.

I'll let you know when things settle down so you can come out from behind that sofa! Duck!
These are all opinions of course. I think the people who say McMike. Welker, Poole (because of injuries) and even Roth (not his fault he can't beat out great linemen in his rookie year) are all legit picks. I really don't agree with JT or Zach. They are hyped, but I think they live up to it. Welker is definitely a fan favorite so he gets the benefit of the doubt from a lot of people. I still think ke's great when you consider the timing of the plays he makes. He just strikes me as a guy who makes plays when you need a guy to step up. ie: he is definitely more clutch than choker.
I'd say McMike now that someone mentions it above. He has great tools, but has not been that Shannon Sharpe guy we heard he might be. Still could happen I hope, with our new QB situation.

I think McMike is overated, because he just doesn't always produce, yet he has the mouth and the talent to dominate...sometimes something is missing with him...he dissapears and/or drops a ball at inopportune times...

The other person I think is overated is Welker...He's a nice player but has to play more with heart than physical ability. He's a fan favorite because of that and in 2004 and 2005, he certainly gained a lot of fans, but we have more talent at his position (both returner and #3 WR) than we've had in several years now. I love the guy for his heart and work ethic, but he's just not all that...

I think its partially because he was asked to do a lot of different things last year 'Block more, Run Deeper routes' ect... because in 04 there wasnt a more solid offensive player on the team

I have trouble calling Welker over rated because I don't expect anything from a guy that small and who came to us via the waiver wire. Now if you were asking who is the most over HYPED player, then Welker would make my list. He is very versatle but a star? Hardly and I agree he has a fight on his hands to even make the roster this year!.
