We drafted the two most physically gifted corners in the NFL.. bump and run all day...

And then our safeties...

yeremiah bell, we all know is like having an extra linebacker with better cover skills. hard hitting machine

Gibril Wilson isnt the best free safety but he will definitely be physically imposing

I went from hating our secondary to loving it. The bump and run style corners will give our pass rushers more time to get to the QB

I can't wait to see how much we bully all these AFC East receivers.

Just two days ago, people were talking about how we'll be dominated by these guys because Parcells typically doesen't draft skill. Well, it's a little different now.

And Gibril Wilson's statements of us having the best secondary in the league aren't too far fetched either.

Well not exactly. Bell definitely is a hitter, but he's getting old, so the "years to come" part doesn't really apply to him most likely. :( Gibril Wilson and Vontae Davis--if he lives up to his ability--will both be very physical for a long time. But Sean Smith really isn't very physical despite his size. He can play the press coverage, but he's kinda shy in run support and definitely not someone I'd call "physical" really.

I'm not sure that other DB we drafted is even going to make the team. Will Allen, Jason Allen, Green, Bell, Wilson, Davis and Smith are all locks to make the team ... that's 7 DB's already, so special teams will be important for any other DB's hoping to make the team. With guys like Hartline and that size/speed TE we drafted, there's going to be a good amount of competition for those special teams spots too.

I think the safety we drafted should be an upgrade over Culver or worse comes to worse, cut ties with Jason Allen

don't be so sure that Jason Allen will be with us in 2009

Ozzy rules!!

Very excited about the prospect of having a dominating secondary in short time. Recall 1998 when Surtain and Madison emerged for us with Marion and Walker? We had a really good secondary for about 5 years after that. Problem in those days was our offense was poop (hello Pat White!).

Culver played very well for us last year..
I think we are gonna take our time with the draftee

Sean Smith is anything but physical and he misses a lot of tackles. In his case his size helps him breakup pass plays not make the big hit.

He will be a centerfielder somewhere in a few years. He will never start at CB for the Dolphins.

id love to see t.o. get knocked in the dirt when he comes here.
