I completely expect the Dolphins to overtake the Patriots in regular season wins in the next few seasons and I'm hoping we push them for that playoff wins lead. It should be an exciting decade for Dolfans!

In 34 seasons from 1970-2003 the Dolphins only had “two” losing seasons.

I remember hearing at the end of the 2003 season, or there about, the Dolphins had the highest winning percentage of any franchise for the 3 major team sports…football, basketball, and baseball.

I've never seen a championship so our history in the early 70's means personally very little but I get it.
We all need to figure out how we're going to celebrate when it happens! A finheaven zoom?

At this point, history is history. Rehashing the old days leaves a bitter taste in my mouth because we have fallen so hard. On paper we looks like some serious contenders to make some noise this year, here's to hoping all the pieces come together that this staff has assembled. I started watching late 80's so those were some fun teams but I don't think we've been really competitive since the AFC Championship games against the Bills ( I was there ) I think that was around 92 or something.

When we win a superbowl? Hmm. Neat thought exercise. I think there would need to be a zoom call during each of the playoff games and then a mass in person SuperBowl party for during the actual SB. I'd be looking into seeing who wants to help with renting a movie theater for it and have the damn thing catered. I'm sure that's a thing. AMC started showing out of market games last year.

So all you young fans out there…imagine how dominant the team us old ****s grew up with was, for us to be 4th after 2 decades of fail.
I forgot to mention that for a long time the Dolphins were the winningest team in all professional sports, not just the NFL.

As has been already said here, there was a time (Which lasted for what seemed like forever) Miami had the highest winning percentage of any sports franchise, how good was Miami in the NFL?

After having over 20+ years of inconsistency and mediocrity, this is where Miami is ranked ALL-TIME against the rest of the NFL.

Green Bay Packers....57.3%
Dallas Cowboys.........57.2%
Baltimore Ravens......56%
Chicago Bears...........56.2%
NE Patriots................56.3%
Miami Dolphins.........55.3%
Minnesota Vikings.....54.4%
San Francisco 49ers...54.2%
Kansas City Chiefs......54.1%
Pittsburgh Steelers.....53.7%

In case anyone was wondering, the 10 worst are...

Buffalo Bills................47.7%
N O Saints..................46.8%
Detroit Lions..............45.1%
Cincinnati Bengals.....44.9%
New York Jets.............44%
Houston Texans........43.3%
Atlanta Falcons..........43.8%
Arizona Cardinals......42.6%
Jacksonville Jaguars...41.6%
TB Buccaneers..........40.2%

Imagine where Miami could be in 5 years if/when we again prove to have another franchise dynasty.

What this data proves: Don Shula was practically a God. Every other coach we’ve had just mere mortals
