Most positive season prediction article I’ve seen

Miami might benefit from any number of things this season:

(1) A franchise QB starting 17 games
(2) A stable, consistent OL
(3) Clear talent advantages at the skill positions

>> All of those things should put points on the board & a top-5 offense could easily result.

(4) A dominant pass rush
(5) A strong run defense built on powerful interior DL and aggressive ILBs
(6) A defensive system entrenched enough to hide it's weaknesses through smart players.

>> All of those things could lead to a scoring defense that ends up being in the top-3rd of the league.

If you score points and you stop your opponents in critical moments, you're going to win. In that sense, there's nothing wrong with pointing out the potential in a Dolphins team entering what is essentially the 2nd year of the new rebuild.

We should expect some results. We should be optimistic.
Thanks, this saved me from making a long post. It's all possible if they can predominantly keep healthy, which isn't unheard of for most teams in most years. We'd have a punchers chance most weeks.

That said, I've never heard of this author, and was unable to find any of his other work. There are substack posts from a similarly named guy though, that are somewhat.... unhinged.

I’m terrible with names so I may have got his exact name wrong, but if he’s unhinged it’s probably the same guy lol.

Do you remember the name

We did and it was a fun season but we’re not close to the same team though. I only count 8 out of 22 starters still with the team.

I’m counting 11

All were here in 2023:
Tua
Ingold
Hill
Waddle
Jackson
Sieler
Chubb
Kohou
Conner
Achane
J. Hill

A good core of players.

Then add in players that are better than those in 2023:

Chop
Washington
Jonuu
Paul
Brewer
Brooks
Dodson
Gay Jr.

And others…

It does when it's consistent over a certain period of time.

To win that many games, a team can't "self-destruct" under certain criteria.

Here's to hoping.
I refuse to believe that Joe Philbin and Jay Cutler, to name 2, have any bearing on what this team does in 2025.

You are correct, sir they do not

The team itself, regardless of the coaching has been on the same hamster wheel with regard to overall success for double digit years…

I don’t know how the same issues can affect the organization in the same ways regardless of the coaching, but that’s what’s been going on…

At the end of the day, there are certain situations you just can’t trust the team to win…. Ever

Not only must we not have injuries at qb but everywhere else as our depth isnt great but the coach needs to clean up his notable and numerous transgressions from the first three years.
He has been getting better in key areas, like game planning and half-time corrections.

And all this time I thought it was our "Negative Nancy's" that were on that "hamster wheel". - LOL

All Sunshine and rainbows this time of year. I must admit i fall victim to this also. Definition of insanity. By week 5 we should be lighting tourches and burning the usual suspects , tua, McDaniel and our gm to the stake. A psychologist would have a field day with this forum. What in the heck has team done this offseason to convince anyone that we will be better this year than the last 10 years? I just don't see it. But, it's June so yea we will win 12 games this year. As I sip my coolaid

Hopefully, Daniels is back to 100 percent. Hard to imagine Savaiinaea being worse than Eichenberg or Jones. A healthy Daniels was rated the 7th best guard by PFF In 2023.
Why is it that Grier keeps signing injury-prone or players recovering from a major injury as o-line starters? Armstead and Wynn were injury-prone, and Daniels got a torn Achilles in Week 4 last year and missed the rest of the season. I don't know about the back-ups other than Eichenberg, but it wouldn't surprise me if some of them had a history of injuries, as during the past three seasons even some of the back-ups got hurt. And, at RT, Jackson started out terrible, but by the time he became half-decent he also became injury prone, and I believe he started missing some games every year.
