Most positive season prediction article I’ve seen

We were an 8 win team last year with our starting QB missing a ton of games.

We are a better team this year, we haven't lost any important pieces.

The QB has to stay healthy, that's it.

12 wins is lofty, but I don't think it's unattainable.

Why is it that Grier keeps signing injury-prone or players recovering from a major injury as o-line starters? Armstead and Wynn were injury-prone, and Daniels got a torn Achilles in Week 4 last year and missed the rest of the season. I don't know about the back-ups other than Eichenberg, but it wouldn't surprise me if some of them had a history of injuries, as during the past three seasons even some of the back-ups got hurt. And, at RT, Jackson started out terrible, but by the time he became half-decent he also became injury prone, and I believe he started missing some games every year.
I do think Grier takes more chances on injury players than most teams. I understand in free agency, where it makes more sense cost wise. A healthy Daniels gets maybe twice the yearly contract Miami gave him, as an example.

But in the draft, I believe it's hurt this team. Both Tua and Phillips were 1st rounders with injury histories. That’s been their issue with the Dolphins as well. Chubb, in a trade, also had an injury issue.

And all this time I thought that our "Negative Nancy's" that were on that "hamster wheel". - LOL
I'm sure they are, and they are tired.

Like you and every fan, we all want to win.
We want to back a winner and don't want to have to explain why we are fans of the Miami Dolphins.

Fans would much rather talk **** about their team than get it shoveled back on them without a "leg to stand on" in the debate.
They don't want to have to begin their excitement for the team with an "if or but".

Folks spend time, money, and sometimes even choose a Dolphins game over a family event.
They expect something for their "effort".

The "negative Nancys", for the most part, have watched this rerun for double-digit seasons.
Whether it's the spinning of the hamster wheel or the spinning of the truth about the team, it becomes tiring at the end of the day.

Instead of pointing out negative posts, why don't you use your positive attitude to dispel the negativity with positive facts?

Doing so would open room for a discussion in a forum rather than a "hit and run" comment designed to demonize a fellow poster while putting yourself on a pedestal.

No attack, my friend, just an observation.

..... I know, I know .... I'm RONG.

All Sunshine and rainbows this time of year. I must admit i fall victim to this also. Definition of insanity. By week 5 we should be lighting tourches and burning the usual suspects , tua, McDaniel and our gm to the stake. A psychologist would have a field day with this forum. What in the heck has team done this offseason to convince anyone that we will be better this year than the last 10 years? I just don't see it. But, it's June so yea we will win 12 games this year. As I sip my coolaid
Weak "coolaid", I see. - LOL

Clearly, you haven't read ALL my posts.

Since many of those "Negative Nancys" haven't read all my posts either, they are "fair game" when I identify some of the dumb stuff that's being presented and then make fun of it. - LOL

Just to show how "open minded" I am, I will congratulate you on your own self-acknowledgement in last sentence, which is RIGHT, by the way. - LOL

Yeah looks about right however swap the chargers and first bills game assuming Tua can stay healthy all year.

Also happy Father’s Day to Josh Allen from Miami
If you are correct and we lose week 3 vs the Bills, then we will be heading into the Ravens game in prime time with like an 8-1 record…can you imagine the hype before that game?

If your prediction comes thru then that will be the game, along with following 2 weeks vs Commanders and Bills. that will tell us if we are frauds or not.

Win all 3 and I’m buying Super Bowl tickets, win 2 and I’m fully drinking the koolaid, win one and I’m still cautiously optimistic. Lose them all? Depends on how we lose them all, if we get blown out and embarrassed then I give up on the season, if we lose all 3 but are competitive then I’ll still have a little bit of faith that they can make something of the season.

9-8 w healthy Tua.
That's what it looks like to me if being objective. The team could surprise however, the front 7 on D is a potential real strength that I expect Weaver to do a lot of damage with. We may have just enough in the secondary for the overall unit to be pretty good. The OL could be better/healthier and the O as a unit returns to more of its 2022/2023 look with a dangerous running game and big plays in the passing game with a healthy pair of WR's and more young depth than we've had, plus a TE that emerged and a couple of young RB's to support Achane. It could happen and the schedule isn't a killer with most of our tough opponents at home and the weaker ones away. I'd cap that upside at 11 wins but certainly possible if pretty much everything breaks right.

I have a question for you, because I am completely perplexed on this one. I honestly can't figure out their motivation at all.

None of my sports teams have won a championship since the Edmonton Oilers last won the Cup, so if anything, I'm in the exact same boat as the 'negative Nancys'. I understand your point about the frustration of all of this, but what do they get out of continually coming here and complaining-- continually trashing the team leadership... the history... even the humanity of those who have managed or coached this team?

Sure, I almost understand the actual trolls; they are just lousy people who get off on making others miserable, but the actual Dolphins fans who are just extremely bitter... what on Earth do they get out of coming here and trashing those who still have hope? I used to think that these guys just desperately needed to say, "I told you so", but now... I'm not even sure of that.

Do you have any idea?

Fact is… they’re miserable in life. I mean, fans of 31 teams can each and every year claim that their teams aren’t good enough to win a SB and all of them would be right. Fans of 20 teams can claim that their team isn’t good enough to make the playoffs and they will be correct. When the odds of just saying “we suck” are really high it’s not some great feat to take those odds. It’s chicken **** behavior. And it’s childish. They are miserable in their real lives and thus have no optimism about anything and find no joy in anything. Their hope in life is gone so their hope in sports is also lost.

No.

The complaining is ok, and most of it warranted.
I don't have a problem with opinions other than mine, and sometimes it opens my eyes.

I don't see a problem with fans blowing off steam and bitching about what almost was or could have been.

"Trashing hope" by spouting a difference of opinion is part of the debate process that should spark a gathering of opinions going in more than one direction.

Because the POV is "negative" doesn't mean it's out of line.

Being objective enough to at least see another perspective is the way to go.
Being a blockhead, no-cred, aggressive with no facts, and a point out of nowhere to derail is annoying.

Reading a message doesn't always put things in context.

Personal attacks, slander, name-calling, and pi$$ing contests are just childish.

Remember, you are what you eat.
The nonsense you point out is a product of an imbalanced diet of information with a side of I hate my life.

You can't change another's attitude; it's up to the owner.

My way-too-early figuring:

AFC East...................4-2
AFC North................2-2
NFC South................3-1
2nd-Place Teams....1-2

That outcome gives the 2025 Dolphins a 10-7 regular-season record, which would likely be good enough for the #6 or #7 playoff seed in the AFC.

I guess I'll never really understand it. If I was 100% positive that my team just was not going to compete, I wouldn't come to their forum. It would be too painful.... and yet, some of these guys just seem to relish coming here and just relentlessly slamming anyone who has an ounce of optimism left. Calling this a character flaw seems inadequate somehow.

I rarely block anyone but after a while, I do stop reading their posts. ...and that's almost enough, I guess, although I still see posts from people I do respect... answering the bitter brothers.

It's kind of a drag.
