it depends on what would happen but after today i had a question i would like to be answered.Would we draft a qb this year and in the first round? i was thinking Brohm would be our best and most realistic option since brady would be gone and so would troy.i like brohm alot.discuss your opinions

I can nearly type the following without looking I've typed it that many times in the past few weeks.....

....We wont be taking a QB with our first selection.

Im not sure Troy would be gone. With this bills loss we will prolly be picking in the 11-12 spot. With his height "issue" he might drop down. I would be ecstatic.

If not, Brohm (if available) would be my second choice.

We dont need QB's. We have to starters on the squad as it is. We need to draft LB, CB, or OL in my opinion. I think Patrick Willis is our guy in the first round.

Personally i feel an OL should be adressed if we dont make a move for nate clements.if we dont make a move for nate then we will be selecting a corner.

not so fast my freind, culpepper's injury could be worse then we think and if saban stay he may draft one but it could be in the 4 th rd or 5th rd.

Yeah, that's what I think too......I said we won't be taking a QB with our first selection.

uhh...hes probably not gonna be a first round pick at all. that 'height' problem is a big one in the big leagues.

As for the dolphins, i want Russell or no one else.

most realistic? Jamarcus Russell because of his ties to LSU. He's a Culpepper prototype and would probably benefit the most from sitting behind Culpepper for a couple years. A lot of people would disagree, but I suspect their opinions will change after the combine, because he is a freakish athlete

That said, I would still probably go in a different direction in round 1

Did you here charlie casserly say that he spoke with 16 teams about T. Smith and they said that he is a 2nd-3 rd pick. I say if he is there in 2nd we draft him.

No way in hell Smith gets out of the top 15, let alone first round. He has all world talent.

What more do you want him to do??

All thats ever said against him is that hes 6'. Oh noes!! Good thing we passed on that 5'11" drew brees (yes i know it wasnt bc of the height) because he sure sucks!!

If Smith is available for picking and we pass him I will be incredulous.

As for Russell, hes an athlete playing QB. I dont want him. I dont want another DC. I dont want a guy who cant read a defense or adjust and make the play.

Give me a QB, a real goddam QB. One who will make plays and win. please!!

Exactly....we should not take a QB with our first pick, but if Troy Smith is still on the board in the 2nd I would grab him.

Hes gone by the second, no doubt about it. We will get nothing if we wait until the second.

All I can do about the Troy Smith height thing is laugh. Its stupid and so overrrated it rediculous.
