I am a young guy who came up a Dolphin's fan during the Marino era, so maybe I don't have the whole spectrum, but it seems as though we have best QB depth we have had in my time as a fan.

Injuries in the NFL are inescapable, and not only do I have confidence in Ryan, but I have confidence in Moore if he needed to take over, and I imagine Josh Freeman is one of the best 3rd stringers in the league seeing as he has experience starting in the NFL.

It really does feel good not having to have to deal with a QB situation every year.

Moore is a solid backup QB...knows the offense, accepting of his role, and a great relationship with Tannehill. he is nothing more than that, which we found out this off season. GMs weren't beating down his door to give him a chance to start even with the messes in Buffalo, New York and Houston. like him as a back-up but there is a significant step back from Ryan.

i would be astonished if Freeman is on the roster come opening day. he has been 'meh' at best in mini and training camps, with Parker & Stills being dinged up the 3rd QB roster spot will go to a 6th receiver.

we should be feeling good about Tannehill. the develop he is making in the second year of this offensive system with better weapons at receiver and field stretching TE he seems posed to make another big jump this year.

If Freeman starts we're screwed. Especially considering he probably won't be on the team barring injuries.

Although the same can be said for any other team's 3rd string qb.

Moore is an excellent backup, but Tanny goes down for any extended period of time and the season is shot. That's the way it is for just about every team that has a good to great QB.

I would think they will roll with two QBs again...Freeman will be an option to be signed if one of the other QBs goes down.

We had great depth during the Glory Year's with Griese and Earl Morrall, before your time. Marino had Strock backing him up early in his career, but for the most part Dan and the Phins didn't need a backup until Dan tore his Achilles in 1993, and Scott Mitchell played well, and fooled the Lions into thinking he was going to be great. I think Tannehill and Moore are by far the best QB combo we have had since the Super Bowl years.

Moore has a better winning percentage as starting QB for the Dolphins than Tannehill, so I don't really agree with the logic that a season is shot without Tannehill. Right now all we have in Tannehill is one of the pretteist .500 QB's in football. He looks great in a lot of games he loses. I don't think Moore would have 15 straight completion runs like Tannehill but I think he could win as many games as Tannehill by not screwing up in key situations and taking points/wins off the board.

You have apparently forgotten how Moore plays as a starting QB.

Nah, we're screwed if Tanny goes down for more than a couple of games. I'm good with Moore in a pinch, but they're two different QBs and Philbin and Lazor would have their jobs cut out for them if they were to adjust the game plan to make Moore more than serviceable. The good news is that we have great skill players to make the QB's job easier. The bad news is that if Tannehill gets hurt, it's because the line sucks and let him down. All the targets in the world won't matter to a sniper if he has to hit them in a dead sprint during a hurricane.

Oh, I'm sorry guys, I forgot I brought some statistical evidence into a discussion on performance, and forgot that it's beyond your intellect to understand.
