I would say Travis Minor, I know you guys might disagree, he only plays special teams, but he is good there. I just think he is a really great 3rd down back, we dont use at all. We will see more of him soon, starting this week. Soft hands, and runs hard. I think he has learned alot behind Ricky, Ronnie and Sammie. We just dont use him much. Your thoughts on who you think...

Minor has always been a very good third down back and one of my favorite players. I agree he is under used

Since Joey Harrington has become quarterback, Ronnie Brown out of the back field.

before 3 weeks ago, i wouldve said Y. Bell....but now hes starting, i would have to say pope imo...supposedly that guy wrecks everything he hits...who knows if he could bring something more to the table than spragan...but i honestly never see that guy anywhere {spragan}...and pope is always around the ball when hes on the field...

I'm one of the biggest Minor fans.... people like to doubt him because he never really got his shot..... but anyone who saw him play his rookie year knows what he can do at this level..... he's always been a solid backup... he's fast and very very strong for his size. He's suprises you with his ability to break/avoid tackles. I expect to see him get atleast 5 carries a game so long as Ronnie's out.

I followed Travis career in college in his stats were very average for a featured back. He got to the Dolphins and built like a bodybuilder with his shirt off during minicamp, the coaches remarked: "he looks bigger than he is!" During his rookie season, Travis actually played better than he did in college and he made a remarkable TD run against the Colts. The problem: he's undersized and lacks the moves and power of a featured back, and as a 3rd down back he lacks reliable hands for the passing game. He's your basic career special teamer backup quietly pulling in 350k a year minding his own business. Not bad work if you can get it.

Chris Chambers, hands down. Harrington doesn't give him nearly enough oppertunities to make plays down the field. I can recall 3 exact plays from last year where Sage (yes he was the QB on all 3) just heaved it up and let Chambers make a play.

1st play- Deep ball that went for an 80 some yard TD pass late in the game vs. KC when the game was already in hand.

2nd play- The last drive vs. Buffalo in the amazing comeback. Right after Chambers had a key drop, just two plays later Rosenfels heaved a deep one that Chambers hauled in between two defenders that went for 60 some yards.

3rd play- Just a few plays after the previous one, the game winner vs. Buffalo. Sage took one drop step and lobbed up a fade ball. Chambers used the 45'' verticle and hauled in the game winner.

I have seen only a couple of fades to Chambers this year and I think we need to use his jumping abilities more. I know Joey is inaccurate down field, but I want to see Chambers used down the field more often.

I know he's our number 1, but the ball sure doesn't go to him as if he were the #1.

Chambers by far. Not sure if he is underutilized because he is not doing enough to get open, or Joey hasn't given him the opportunities to make plays, or if other teams have made a consciencious effort to deny him the ball; more than likely it's a combination of all three. But I do know that with Ronnie Brown out, Chambers is going to have to become a much bigger part of the offence if we still want to be in the playoff hunt after the next two games.

Chris Chambers is the most under utilized Dolphin he is a Pro Bowler and doesn't even have 500 yards receiving 11 games into the year.
