Sammie Morris is very underrated in the AFC IMO. He will excel behind our improved offensive line and be a great backup to Ronnie. Everyone has stated that the Dolphins need to trade for a backup for Ronnie and that fact alone concludes that Morris can not handle the job in peoples (Analysts and Fans) eyes. I say that is BS and I know Morris is better than everone thinks. There are some people that believe Morris can be a productive back if given the chance and I am one of them. I say the Dolphins utilize the runningbacks they already have and yes, dump Minor. Minor has been really good back for miami and has played very well when we needed him but it is time to say goodby. :dolphins:However, if Minor can beat out K.J. in camp than more power to him and he should stay.

i love sammy morris, but i dont think he is underrated. I think he is rated where he should be as a backup. He is however one of the few backup RBs in the NFL that can be reliable to take over the starting role when needed. Mungro and Rhodes are another example of this. Chester Taylor was like that with bmore as well.

Wait wait wait... you are honestly sitting here and saying that Sammie Morris is the most under-rated back in the AFC. This is one of the worst threads I have ever viewed on this site.

As far as the most under-rated rb in the afc goes, I would have to give that award to Rudi Johnson of the Bengals. Don't get me wrong, I love Sammy/ He actually is a VERY good back when healthy. The fact that he was able to average 4 yds/pc when Ricky retired behind arguably the worst O-line Miami has ever had is quite a testament to his abilities. He is one of those running backs that just NEVER gives up on a run. It isn't his ability I question, cuz he definitely has it, it is whether he can stay healthy, and I am praying that he can. Give'em hell Sammy!!!!!

Then please explain why this rated backup is not being backed by people who think we should trade for someone like Bennett?:dolphins:

Johnson is very underrated, I agree:dolphins:

sammy morris is the man the most under-rated signing in a long time IMO. He was supposed to be a backup fullback and ended up being our leading rusher and the following year he was the guy we needed when ronnie was struggling. One of the most versatile players in the NFL no doubt he's very valuable to us rite now. He's a fav of mine because he's a strong runner in all directions, he's good outta the backfield, and he's a beast on special teams when needed.
