 Yes old, but you have to give him credit--he is a very good back. And by no means am I fan of CM- I hate him--but credit is due.

The jets losed 2 of there best players, Abraham and Santana moss there is no way that they are going to beat the dolphins.

What I posted:

There is some mighty hating going on towards the Dolphins, but, being as this is a Jets site, well, it's only natural. I'm going to try and avoid homerism as I say all this.

Underrate our defense, please. I'll be loving it when we're deadlocked Week 2 with neither offense having much success. Kevin Carter wasn't one of the more coveted free agents for nothing -- he still has plenty left in his tank and will be an anchor on a very good defensive line. Keith Traylor is still a big body, and he'll be rotated to keep him going. Jason Taylor is going to draw the double and triple teams, which is going to allow the numerous other ends we have -- Bowens, Holliday, and Roth -- to get to the quarterback.

Last year one of our biggest problems was defensive tackle, often having Jeff Zgonina and Bryan Robinson, both smaller, more pass-rushing specialists in there full time. Now with two big bodies, our defensive ends will have to fend off less blocking. Larry Chester may return, and with Manuel Wright the rotation looks strong.

Cornerbacks will be less relied to go man to man this year with the zones Saban will bring. Travis Daniels knows the system, and although Sam Madison has lost a stop, he's still an effective corner. Don't forget - Reggie Howard plays MUCH better in zone.

Our safety position looks to be a weakness, and I'll admit the names aren't big. Tillman and Tebucky are said to be the starters by many, but Yeremiah Bell is a quick, speedy safety who, if he avoids the injury bug, will be starting.

Zach Thomas and Junior Seau may be old, but they still have more intensity than most other linebackers in the league. The third spot is going to be fought over by Donnie Spragan, Eddie Moore, and the third round steal Channing Crowder. Thats a solid unit right there.

Just my take on it all. Obviously there are questions, but don't sleep on the defense this year.

Nice post. You did a good job of backing up your statements instead of just talking trash and sounding like a fool.
